iPhone 6 Release Date and Features
There are so many rumors floating around about the iPhone 6 despite that the
iPhone 5 version just came out in September this year. A lot of questions are in
the minds of Apple users about what the next version of iPhone will bring with it
and what it won’t. As we look at the year that has gone by, there were some great
and some notsogreat moments for the iPhone. Samsung came out with its
Galaxy S3 that was touted to be the best smartphone device of the year.
Therefore, it is expected that Apple will work very hard to be able to come up
with a device better than Galaxy in 2013. Therefore, the expectations from
iPhone 6 have gone through the roof.
iPhone 6 is expected to be released around the early part of 2013. There are
reports floating around about that Apple might be moving to a 6month period
for upgrades as compared to the existing oneyear period. So looking at this
trend we might expect to see the new iPhone in March 2013. One reason for
this new six month timeline as opposed to the one year period could be due to
the increasing competition from companies like Samsung or Google. At the
moment, there are so many competitors for the iPhone as compared to what it
had when it first came out many years ago. Therefore, it has become imperative
for Apple to think on its feet and come up with phones which are well ahead of
Some of the expected features in the new iPhone 6 are:
Improved Display: The display of iPhone 6 is going to be made of Indium
Gallium Zinc Oxide, commonly known as IGZO. The reason for use of this
material is to ensure that the display is lighter and brighter even. Also, due to the
fact that this display will require a lesser number of LEDs, it means that the
display will be more energy efficient. The display is also going to be better and
more pixel heavy and will have a better battery life.
Faster Processor: The new iPhone is expected to have a quad core processor
unlike the current iPhone 5 model which has the duo core processor. It is said
that this processor will be two times faster than the current processor.
NFC Technology: The iPhone 5 was supposed to incorporate this technology but
Apple somehow seemed unwilling to include this feature in the phone. Samsung
Galaxy S3 already had this feature incorporated in it which made it extremely
popular and make it look better than the iPhone 5. Near Field Communication is
meant to make smartphones communicate with each other in an easier manner.
These are typically used for making payments easy through mobiles.
With these features Apple is hoping to make the iPhone 6 the best smartphone in
the market. It might also be that Apple might add a new HD camera to make
Facetime function better. There are also some reports which say that the iPhone 6
might come up with the new iOS 7 which is going to be faster and more secure
as an operating system. Apart from these features, iPhone might be released in
multiple colors to make it look livelier and in order to attract young customers.
