If you live in Queensland and have a pool or spa, you need to ensure that it is reflected on the Pool Safety Register.
Not complying with this regulation could prove quite costly – fines of up to $2000 can be imposed for not having
your pool or spa registered.

The Reason for the Register

The register is part of a plan to improve pool safety for all pool users. Every pool will need to have a pool safety
compliance certificate issued at the end of the day and the register is the first step in making sure that all pools
and spas are properly compliant.

Stopping Accidental Drowning

Pool Compliance Brisbane regulations are not there to make your life more difficult – they are in place to help
prevent the accidental drowning deaths of young kiddies. The regulations make a lot of sense when you consider
them.

The idea is to stop kids being able to get into the pool area unattended or unsupervised. The idea, in a nutshell, is
to ensure that the fences are not easy to climb over, that entrances to the pool area are secure and that kids
cannot slip through the fence bars.

Get a Professional to Help

It can be a bit of a pain to read through all the regulations from start to finish. Fortunately, you don’t have to –

through to getting your pool compliance certificate.

The expert team from Defence Pool Safe will give you advice on a quick pre-check to perform before they come
out to inspect your pool for compliance.

If the Pool is Compliant

Then there are no hassles, our team will arrange for your pool safety compliance certificate to be issued to you.

If the Pool is not Compliant

The inspector will give you a complete report detailing exactly what needs to be fixed and will send in a non-
compliance report. You will then have time to make the pool compliant before a follow up visit is arranged.

The inspectors will also give advice and tips on how to make your pool safer and will recommend qualified and
professional contractors that can get the pool up to code for you.

All in all, making sure that your pool is compliant is not only the legal thing to do, it is the right thing to do as well.
Make sure that your family is safe by making sure that your pool is compliant today.
