                       Welcome to your new desktop environment!

Congratulations! Your organization has made the decision to jump to the
Cloud and move to VC3’s Virtual Office Advantage product. With a Hosted
Desktop solution your organization will be able to access their business
applications and email securely via the internet on their PC, laptop, iPad, or
smart phone.

With VC3’s Hosted Desktop solution, Virtual Office Advantage, you can focus
on the core competency of your organization… not your IT infrastructure.

                                               Hosted Desktop 101
New to a hosted desktop environment? No worries! There are a few terms that will be useful when using your VC3 VOA Hosted
Desktop.



        Session / Log Off / Reconnect / Disconnect Definitions

    1. Full Desktop Session: Enables access to an individual hosted desktop.

                 a.   After entering username and password, a new window will appear.

                 b. Click the Full Desktop icon to launch your hosted desktop.



    2. Log Off: Logs a user off of the Hosted Desktop web site only. It does NOT log a user off of their Full Desktop.




    3. Reconnect: Reconnects a user to any active or disconnected Full Desktop sessions.

    4. Disconnect: Disconnects any active Full Desktop sessions. This is the same as hitting the “Disconnect” button inside the Full
         Desktop, or hitting the “X” on the Full Desktop.

    5. Lock: Locks hosted desktop session. Requires a password to unlock.

                 a.   Click the Windows Start icon in lower left hand corner.
                 b. Click Log Off button.

                 c.   Click Lock button.

                                           Hosted Desktop Toolbar
There is a “toolbar” available once you have accessed your hosted
desktop.

           To expand the “toolbar”, click on the arrow of the image
            at the top of your hosted desktop.



Minimized Hosted Desktop Toolbar

           Home: Click the “Home” icon minimize all of your
            Desktop Viewer windows, so you can view your local
            desktop and applications.

           Ctrl + Alt + Del: Click the “Ctrl + Alt + Del” icon to Lock
            your Computer, Log off or Change a Password.

           Preferences: Click the “Preferences” icon to change your
            display settings or Citrix HDX features such as File Access,
            Microphone or Flash Acceleration.




           Full-Screen: Click the “Full-Screen” icon to maximize
            your hosted desktop screen to fit your monitor
             dimensions.

           Disconnect: Click the “Disconnect” icon to disconnect
            from any active Full Desktop session.




Maximized Hosted Desktop Toolbar


           Full Desktop: When highlighted, the Full
            Desktop icon shows that you are viewing your hosted
            desktop session.

           Window: Click the “Window” icon minimize your hosted
            desktop screen.

                  Logging into your Hosted Desktop from a Thin Client
                                                                   If you are not prompted the first time you log in, please click:
Logging In                                                         Start -> Windows Security -> Change Password
   Turn on thin client.

   The following screen will appear.




4.   Enter your username and password in the fields you see
     below.

   Username: Email address

         (example: John.Doe@PCAction.org)

   Password: REFER TO EMAIL SENT BY VC3




How to Reset Password
You will be prompted to reset your password when you log in
    for the first time.
     NOTE: Password requirements: Minimum of 8 characters,
        at least one uppercase letter, at least one number,
        cannot contain username, first name or last name.


Click “Full Desktop” to access your new environment.

     NOTE: Click the Full Desktop icon ONCE only. If the icon is
        clicked multiple times, another desktop session will
        attempt to open and fail. Additional desktop sessions
        must be closed in order to see the active session.

           Logging into your Hosted Desktop from an Internet Browser
Step 1 (you will only need to perform this step once)             Step 2
1.   Open an Internet Explorer browser.                              Open an Internet Explorer browser.

4. A new window should appear. Click Run.




5. Check the Citrix License Agreement box, then click
“Download”




6. A new window should appear.



7.   Click   “Full    Desktop”     to    access    your   new
environment. **

                                 VC3 Hosted E-mail / Control Panel
Welcome to VC3’s Hosted E-mail                                    Login with your Email Address and Password when you reach
                                                                  this screen:
This user guide will walk you through using your new VC3 E-
Mail.

1. Getting Started
   Log off of your computer.

   Log back into your computer.

   You will be prompted for a username and password.

            Username: Email address

         (example: john.doe@PCAction.org
                                                                  Quota
         Password: REFER TO EMAIL SENT BY VC3
                                                                  The first thing that you will see in the control panel is your
                                                                  quota. The status bar will show you how close you are to the
                                                                  2.0 GB mailbox limit. You can also logout of the control panel
                                                                  by clicking logout at the top of the screen.




                                                                  Change Password
                                                                  To change your password:
                                                                           Enter your current password
         NOTE: It is HIGHLY recommended that you change your
         password. Go to Step 2.                                              Create a new password

                                                                              Confirm your new password

                                                                              Click “Change”
2. Change Password / Settings
                                                                  NOTE: This will not change the password for any other access
                                                                  beside your e-mail account.
VC3 Hosted E-mail Control Panel
These directions will allow you to view your email account
settings, change passwords, download clients and configure
mobile devices. If you need assistance beyond this control
panel, please feel free to contact VC3 and we will point you in
the right direction.

Accessing E-mail from the Web                               Quarantine Notifications
To access your email from the Internet, use this process:   If an email is considered SPAM, it is sent to a “Quarantined”

Quarantine Manager Login
1.   For legitimate emails: Add a check to the boxes be-
     side legitimate emails and click “Not Spam”.

2.   For emails that are SPAM: Add a check to the boxes
     beside the SPAM emails and click “Delete”.




Quarantine Manager Settings
1.   Click the Settings link in the top right of the page.

2.   You can turn the Email Notification On or Off, change
     the Notification frequency or change the number of
     messages per email.
