                                                                          dues link displayed on their Home Page to view, print and/or pay. This
                                                                          is also where they can print a copy of the invoice to submit to their
                                                                          employer for payment. Remember, dues are payable by June 30, 2010
                                                                          to avoid suspension and assessment of a late fee.

                                                                          Members and Apprentices should take a moment to review their per-
                                                                          sonal data including employment, addresses, email, phone, FAX and
                                                                          spouse information, and make any necessary changes to update their
                                                                          records. The dues rate is based on where they are located and what they
                                                                          are doing as of May 1, 2010. Any changes with an effective date be-
                                                                          tween now and May 1, 2010, will have a dues adjustment processed

                                                          Get Golf Ready

Last year Get Golf Ready was launched and this exciting approach to bring new golfers into the game continues to be Play Golf America's fea-
tured program.
Many facilities already offer beginner golf programs and should consider how Get Golf Ready might support their efforts. Consider asking your
facilities to be a certified Get Golf Ready facility in 2010 to take advantage of national marketing by completing the Get Golf Ready application.
Key reasons why Professionals should apply include:
         1. Graduating Get Golf Ready students spent $800 on follow-up activities.
         2. Facilities averaged 25 students, nearly all new to the game, with 84% retention.
         3. The industry launched a national marketing campaign in 2010.
         4. It’s a great program for apprentices to generate additional compensation while expanding on instruction expertise.
Based on these results, PGA Professionals could generate more than $16,000 with a similar response. In addition, the World Golf Foundation will
once again award one-time stipends for up to 1,000 qualifying facilities.

PGA Certified ProFiciency Test - New testing process
PGA Certified ProFiciency Test is now being administrated during each month. Registration closes on the 15th of the previous month. Refunds
will only be given when a candidate cancels out of the testing process by the registration deadline date by calling The PGA at 1-800-474-2776.
After registering, PGA members will receive a registration confirmation which provides information to contact PSI/LaserGrade to arrange for a
test date, time and location. PSI/LaserGrade will then send an e-mail confirming the test date, time, and location.
No candidate will be admitted to the testing center after the starting time. The candidate will be required to show appropriate identification in
order to be admitted to the testing center including a picture ID with signature, date of birth, and residential address and the PGA Membership
card. Candidates taking the CORE competency test will be allowed to bring a copy of the USGA Rules of Golf book that is clean, unmarked, and
unhighlighted for the Test Proctor to review prior to entering the testing room. No other materials will be allowed in the testing room, including
books, articles, cell phones, pagers, camera, pens or pencils. An online calculator will be provided.

New Certified Professionals
With the last round of the PGA ProFiciency Tests completed in February 2010, 33 PGA Professionals received 38 certifications from the PGA
Certified Professional Program. Since the program’s inception in August 2004, 637 PGA Professionals have earned a total of 1,229 certifications
in related career paths, including General Management, Golf Operations, Instruction, Retail, Executive Management, and Ownership/Leasing.

The PGA Education Department has announced the FY2011 checkpoint schedule. Please notice that 22 checkpoints have been scheduled
this year in anticipation of the larger volume of level one attendees due to the revision. Registration for the July and August checkpoints will
begin May 3, 2010 and registration fof the remainder of the schedule on July 12, 2010.

PGM2.0 Level 1 Seminars
Five sessions of the PGM2.0 Level 1 seminars have been scheduled for those who joined the apprentice program after 1/4/2010. Registration
for the first session which is July 12-16, 2010 will open May 6, 2010. The remaining sessions will open for registration July 19, 2010.

Apprentices should call PGA Membership at 1.800.474.2776 to register for either a checkpoint or seminars session. Calls regarding the
schedule or questions on course requirements should be directed to the PGA Education Department at 1.866.866.3382.
