         Chamber Finishes Another Successful Year!
The Chamber would not be where it is without the remarkable help of our membership. It is because of your help and support that the Greater
Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce is able to provide its members with such outstanding monthly networking events. Below is a quick synopsis
of the achievements of the Chamber’s committees and Business Interest Groups (BIGs) as well as other successful programs:
Ambassadors: Serving as the Chamber’s volunteer public relations group, the committee members acted as hosts at each of the monthly
networking functions, membership breakfasts, ribbon cuttings, and new member orientations. The Ambassadors also volunteer at many special
events presented by the Chamber. The committee successfully organized the 12th Annual Operation Thank You by delivering the newest edition
of the Annual Directory to the entire membership in one day!
Boca Festival Days: 40 events comprised Boca Festival Days 2005 raising over $180,000 for local non-profit organizations. The Chamber’s
own Wine and All that Jazz and First Annual Splash of Gold Fashion Show were among the many memorable and successful events. The
committee continues its strong relationships with media sponsors and looks forward to another successful year.
BIGs: Continuing to take our membership’s time into consideration, the Chamber’s Business Interest Groups allowed members to use e-mails,
the internet, and quarterly meetings to discuss community topics important to them. The four BIGs were: Public Policy and Governmental
Affairs, Membership Services, Business and Workforce Development and Small Business Development. The Chamber is looking forward to
continuing the e-mails and quarterly meetings in an effort to allow more of the membership to get involved and stay informed on issues directly
 affecting our community.
Leadership Boca: Leadership Boca continued its success by graduating 40 highly dynamic business professionals who participated in eight
sessions focusing on issues and concerns facing the Boca Raton community. The Class of 2005 met with experts in the fields of government,
health care, environment, education, social services, public safety, the arts, and the media in order to prepare them for all that Boca Raton has
 to offer.
The Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce’s Golden Bell Education Foundation: Through the efforts of Meet Me Downtown, and
private contributors, the Chamber’s Golden Bell Education Foundation was able to grant nearly $50,000 dollars to local public schools and one
scholarship fund, bringing the cumulative grant awards to over $765,000.
Leads Groups: The four leads groups had an outstanding year with over 100 Chamber members participating. The groups provided the setting
and opportunity for members to strengthen their own businesses while expanding their individual networks. Aside from meeting twice a
month, the leads groups planned several outside socials that were very popular with all the participants.
Successful Women in Business: We are proud to announce that over the course of the Successful Women in Business’s three year reign, our
average luncheons consist of over a 100 women. The program has been featured in the Sun-Sentinel, Boca Raton News, Our Town News, and
Boca Raton Times, and its success helped to inspire the creation of
the Chamber’s Young Business Professionals program.
Young Business Professionals: This two year old program is making
excellent strides! Over 200 have attended at least one meeting. Young
Professionals have been entertained and informed by influential
speakers such as the Publisher of the Boca Raton News, Craig Swill
and Partner of Daszkal Bolton LLP, Jeff Bolton.
Latin Business Professionals: This is the newest monthly program
which was created after the success of the Successful Women in
Business and Young Business Professionals programs. The inaugural
meeting was held in May and over 75 members & non-members
attended. Since then we have had two very well attended lunches and
two successful networks. This program is intended to help our members
engage in our diverse community through monthly events and we look
forward to its continued success.

Plans for Leadership Boca 2006 are underway! The Chamber is proud to announce that it is currently accepting
applications for the popular program. Leadership Boca represents the Chamber’s effort to ensure that our commu-
nity leaders will be able to meet the challenges of the future. The eight-session program is designed to educate civic-
minded individuals in the greater Boca Raton area regarding the issues and concerns facing the community. The
program develops a pool of leaders available to become involved in creating, maintaining and enhancing the quality
of life in Boca Raton. They will be given the opportunity to learn about civic issues, question situations, and formulate
solutions by looking at the big picture. Participants will become a more valuable asset to their employer by providing
face-to-face contacts with current community leaders, identifying concerns and issues, and prepare themselves to
assume future leadership roles. Tuition for the program is $675, which covers the cost of all program content, trans-
portation, meals, and materials. Submit your application TODAY!
Deadline for preliminary applications is Friday, January 13, 2006. For more information or to request an appli-
cation, please contact Consuelo Inestrosa at consuelo@bocaratonchamber.com or call 561.395.4433.

It has been three years since I moved to the City of Boca Raton and became involved with
the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce. In that time I have been involved with the
Ambassadors group, gave an invocation at the Membership Breakfast, graduated from the
Leadership Boca program, facilitated a Business Interest Group, volunteered for the Boca
Bacchanal wine festival, volunteered for Meet Me Downtown, and attended many of the
Chamber’s numerous networking events and workshops. The reason I was able to get all of
this exposure, and learn about our community was because the greater Boca Raton Chamber
of Commerce has stayed true to their Mission, “To represent, serve, and stimulate the health
and growth of the greater Boca Raton community in order to preserve and enhance the
quality of life in the entire area.” This Chamber is the # 1 resource for local and regional
business. From the Chamber’s Professional Team to its Officers and Directors, there is an
abundance of talent that is waiting to assist you. Please enjoy the Holidays, and have a safe
                           and healthy New Year!!
