exclusive, “reverse involution” design has paddles arranged in a spiral pattern along the shaft,

The log washer is best known for its ability to remove tough, plastic-soluble clays from natural
and crushed gravel, stone and ore feeds. It will also remove coatings from individual particles,
break up agglomerations and reduce some soft, unsound fractions by a mild form of
differential grinding.

FuNcTION
The coarse material washer is used to remove a limited amount of deleterious material from a
coarse aggregate. This material includes shale, wood, coal, dirt, trash and some very soluble clay.
A coarse material washer is often used as a final wash for coarse material (typically, minus
2 1/2” x plus #4 mesh) following a wet screen. Both single- and double-spiral units are available,
depending on the capacity required.

The innovative double-pitch flight and ribbed-paddle design efficiently conveys material through
the blademill to break up sticky clay and muddy clumps with extraordinary effectiveness. Almost

more efficient wet screening. Blademills are generally used prior to a screening and washing
application or ahead of a classifying tank to break up small amounts of soluble mud and clay.
