Canberra Postnatal Depression Treatment Group
This is a nine week group program based on cognitive behavioural techniques. Conducted by registered psychologists, it provides skills to mothers to improve mood and coping ability whilst nurturing both self-esteem and confidence in caring for babies. Birth Centre Information Session
This session, by the Canberra Midwifery Program (CMP), is for couples interested in gaining information about the benefits of one to one midwifery care and how the CMP program operates. Women who are exploring birth options, planning to birth with CMP or those who are on a waiting list are strongly encouraged to attend.
Breastfeeding
An afternoon session with a lactation consultant discussing breastfeeding issues and the needs of a newborn. This session is highly recommended to women attending the Pregnancy to Parenting series.

Transition to Parenthood
The first class aims to inform new parents of the challenges typically experienced when couples become parents and to introduce the ways of coping with these changes that research has shown are found in healthier relationships.
