to grasp the nuts and bolts of social media. You could
even buy a known social media guide online, learn,
understand and then start your marketing. This is the only
way to succeed, there are no short cuts.


Post relevant, value packed content
Your marketing can get a tremendous boost if you post
relevant and value packed content on your blog or site on
a regular basis. Build an intrigue value in you content for
people to look for more or future posts from you.
Remember that social media users check the profiles
regularly if not daily and are looking for fresh and unique
content. Your aim should be to capture the attention and
interest of the reader in your content. Get them hooked to
your blog, more traffic equals more opt-ins and more
sales.

A good way to attract traffic to you and your product is to
post new and fresh pictures on your social media sites like
twitter and FaceBook. There are a lot of people posting
content, but the pictures get noticed without any reading.
A better way to promote your product is to create picture
galleries on FaceBook.
Run promotions
If you a little innovative, the best method would be to run
promotion about your opportunity or product on social
media like FaceBook. In addition to attracting your
existing customers, this is an excellent way to enlarge
your customer base. Social media promotion is very
effective to spread the buzz about your business.


Choose the right username
I have often come across people who adopt user names
like Maria34251xyz, not understanding the fact that your
username is like your sign board. On sites like Twitter,
select a name that has two basic qualities, first that people
should able to remember it easily and second that it
should reflect your product. Say if you are dealing with
weight loss products, your username could be
slimmingcoach or wellnessclub or something similar.
Never use a tongue twister as your username.

Never go on the defensive on social media sites. A poor
review of your company on a website can seem like a
personal assault on you and your business. You need to
look at it objectively and resist the urge to publicly lash
out at the negative review. Try to privately respond to any
negative publicity and work it out that way.


Social media etiquette
Suing social media will come with its own issues. Once
you post content you will receive both positive and
negative reviews and comments. Remember that negative
comments are not to insult or undermine you; they are
simply the views of the reader. Never and I repeat never
get defensive and start posting rude responses. It will not
do any good but may cause your customers great
annoyance. In such cases, the best way is to handle if
through private message of communication. This will
make you stand out in your marketing efforts.

Be visible
Any social media marketer wants visibility for himself
and his product on the web world be it blogs, twitter or
FaceBook in order to maximize opt-in’s of people who
have faith and trust in you. Towards this I would
recommend that you should have appropriate mobile apps
so that people can interact with you anywhere and at any
time through their mobile phones.
