Silent Auction Forest Edge Elementary School March 21, 2009 Welcome to the 2009 Silent Auction! This year you will find us in the cafeteria, where the bidding will be fun & frenzied from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. We focused on donations from Forest Edge families, friends, and staff for the 2009 auction, and they sure came through. How the 2009 Silent Auction works: Bidding  Bidding is open from 10 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  Each item will have a bid sheet with an opening bid amount. To bid, please PRINT your first and last name*, your phone number or your child’s teacher, and your bid in the spaces provided.  Kids, be sure to get your parent’s permission before bidding.  Please print legibly! If we cannot read your name, your bid will be disqualified – even if it is the highest bid.  Bids must be raised in whole dollar amounts. In some instances, bids must be raised in $5 or $10 increments; failure to do so will result in your bid being disqualified. Please read bid sheet carefully!  The highest bidder at closing time wins. The winner is obligated to purchase the item. All items must be paid for in full on the day of the auction. The Silent Auction is a major fundraiser for the Forest Edge PTA. While it is nice to get a bargain, remember that every dollar you bid goes to the school and our children. Please bid generously. Checkout  Checkout will not begin before 2:15 p.m. – no exceptions.  Items can be paid for by cash or check. Checks are preferred, and should be made payable to “Forest Edge PTA.”  You will receive your item or certificate as soon as you have paid.  All sales are final; there will be no refunds or exchanges. Everything is sold “as is.”  Please note that the amount you pay above an item’s fair market value is taxdeductible. If you would like a receipt for tax purposes, please let the cashier know at checkout. A receipt will be mailed to you later. * If you wish to bid anonymously, please speak to a Silent Auction volunteer. They will assign you an I.D. number to use while bidding.
