The Semaine Olympique Française is always an exceptional event as one of the
highest level international sporting event in France among all sports. We are
also proud that this regatta is part of the World Sailing circuit. In this Olympic
year, the Semaine Olympique Française is taking a greater dimension with all
the atletes at the peak of their form. With the Olympic Games only three
months away, all the teams are well prepared with the best on the circuit.
Racing, on the magnificent bay of Hyères will surely be intense and fierce. The
French team will play at home and will be sure to provide the best level. With
Olympic selection completed for most team, the year has started with fantastic
achievements. Julien Bontemps won the World title in the RS:X while our Star representatives Xavier
Rohart and Pierre-Alexis Ponsot added their name to the prestigious Bacardi Cup !

It is reassuring to see the French team is peaking at the right time which is promising for the SOF and
the Games. I really hope that the local public will make the most to enjoy the sailing during this week.
I know that the media representatives will be also well represented which is good for our sport.

                                                                                             Fair wind !

                                                                                Jean-Pierre Champion

Communauté d’agglomération Toulon Provence Méditerranée,
President

                                    The Communauté d’agglomération Toulon Provence
Méditerranée, principal partner of the Semaine Olympique
Française de Voile for the fourth year, is proud to welcome once
again the 44th edition of this prestigious regatta. During this
Olympic year and only three months away from the Games, racing
promises to be very competitive. It will be the opportunity to see
our best French sailors and top internationals compete on our
magnificent bay. In order to engage further the public with this
event, TPM has organised free spectator boats to follow the racing from the water and cheer up the
teams from 50 nationalities. The organisation of such prestigious events like the SOF or the Tall Ships
regatta in 2013, confirm TPM maritime strategy as one of the best area to host high level
international sailing events. This political orientation also benefits the economy and tourism for
all the harbours in TPM with always in sight the respect of the environment.

On behalf of the 12 cities, I wish all the participants, the best conditions on land and at sea,
to fulfil their objectives.

                                                                     Hubert Falco

Jacques Politi
Maire de Hyères-Les-Palmiers

The city of Hyères-les-Palmiers is proud to welcome this year the 44th edition of
the Semaine Olympique Française de Voile. Since 2009, this event is part of the
ISAF Sailing Wolrd Cup and is recognised as a must do in the International

Hyères of such talented sailors is a real honour for us and allows our clubs and
youth to discover a high level regatta.

The 2012 Olympic Games will take place only two hours away by plane from
Hyères. It is the guaranty of the presence of some of the World's best athletes.
French and international media will be following the results of these athletes already selected or
playing in Hyères their Olympic place.

With the aim to deliver a world class event, the organisation of such regatta is also a way to get
together, to communicate and share our nautical technical and industrial know-how where France is
a pioneer.

The city of Hyères will always welcome you all with pleasure and is proud to have been selected as
Sailing World cup venue for the next two years.

Fair sailing and good luck to all!
