Muscle pain can lead to heart disease

Although most people think that back pain or muscle pain is not too
dangerous, but it could be a symptom of a more serious disease, the
Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD), and even heart disease.

Most people who experience this, are fooled because it the pain could
easily be gone only by resting, according to the Society for Vascular
Surgery. Muscles need blood with lots of oxygen to work, then plaques
that form in the arteries will decrease blood flow. If this continues, it
is not impossible patients will develop heart disease.

PAD is usually caused by several factors such as age, diabetes, smoking,
being overweight, high blood pressure, heart disease, high cholesterol,
and descendants, this is as reported by the Third Age.

However, if the PAD is quickly recognized and treated promptly, most
likely PAD can be cured through lifestyle changes and medications. That
way, cardiac disease associated with PAD can be prevented.

For that reason, if you are experiencing pain in the joints and have PAD
symptoms, immediately consult a doctor. Thus the possibility of PAD
turning into heart disease will be less.
