         Foundation Drivers
1. Moral Purpose - education mission, good portion of
   bright students of diff. areas of potential, recent
   enlarged learning gap, ESR recommendation
2. Capacity Building - DI Workshops I (05), II (06) & III
   (07) for all teachers, inviting overseas teacher trainer,
   video conferencing with trainer
3. Learning Process – implementation started 06-07,
   focus on one aspect only according to teacher’s
   choice, covering more aspects in following years

        Foundation Drivers
4. Cultures for Learning – peer & school head lesson
   observation, professional dialogue, reports of
   performance
5. Cultures of Evaluation – self-evaluation, post lesson
   evaluation with sch head, culture of prof. reflection
6. Coherence-making – part of the process towards
   learner autonomy, MI development, etc. stimulate co-
   operation & collaboration among colleagues
7. Levels of leadership – trainer of colleagues &
   outside school, mentor to new teachers – a system

1. Exploration (2004-05) – literature review
2. Capacity Building – (2005-07) – DI workshops
3. Initiation (2006-07) – 1st year implementation &
   evaluation
4. Consolidation (2007-09) – lesson observation,
   professional dialogue, evaluation
5. Normalization (2008 onward) – policy drawn
6. Subsequence Endeavour (2009 onward) – learner
   autonomy

        The Progress
1. Take steps - not giant leap, for progress to occur
2. Disseminate evolutionary plan and the big picture
3. Adopt problem coping strategies
4. Questions to ask:-
•   Is my school developing?
•   Are individuals developing?
•   Is the curriculum sustainable? What is success?
•   Do we develop other leaders to carry on?
