“Pen in these days is mightier than sword” your writing reflects your being. A good writer must mirror his
insides on the piece of paper to let the people enhance their awareness of the subject.

Writing of all types is an art and is gifted to chosen individuals. But “Technical Writing” can be
considered poles apart from general writing as it emphasizes a topic to its technical details and targets
dissimilar audience each time. It contains a thorough and detailed idea of a particular topic, and explains it
to the deepest to the reader.

Target Audience:
 A technical writer must keep in view his target audience. He must have an ample and adequate
cognizance of his addressees, and their mind sets. For instance, if you are writing an article comprising of
the techniques applied in mending records and music players then you must know that your audience can
be either general public who know nothing about records or mechanics and music producers having
sufficient knowledge of the terminologies. Your write up must be efficiently written and it has to be
resourceful and inventive enough to stand informative and edifying for both the generals and the specifics.

Informative and comprehensive:
If I ask one of my 7th grade students to write an article about photography, even he would be able to write
one and a quite clever piece it would be. But when a technical writer sits to write the expectations are set
up much higher. He probably would be estimated to write a piece rather informative and widespread. It
ought to sound professional and proficient. The writer must have complete command over the subject so
that what he writes seems exceptional and unique to even the readers who have prior knowledge about the
subject. A writer who does not have entire command over the topic should resonate as if they know it all;
it means the research should be plentiful and durable and intense.

Minor and Major Details:
While writing you would rather be having a lucid and crystal clear idea of what you want to render but
sometimes your thoughts do not synchronize your words and what you right seems hazy to the writer.
The following lines are the best example of this:

“Technology parks are made in different parts of the USA to increase technical development in the
region. Their working is dependent on provided terms and they are very crucial in economic
development. Technological Parks involve in projects and researches for improving the
technological sector of the country”.

The above excerpt though is written very masterly but it does not talk about the actual working of the
technological parks, which makes it hazy and unclear. And this type of writing relatively increases the
queries of the reader rather than solving them.

Dividing headers to better clarify the subject:
Dividing your subject helps you write a distinctive and authentic write up, because it helps you to
emphasize upon every explanation-demanding point.

Punctuation, Spelling and Grammar:
Last but not the least; DOUBLE-CHECK the spellings and grammar of your write up. Punctuation and
vocabulary should be faultless, because your very reputation and demand depends very much on your
grammar and sentence structure and phrasing. An excellent write up with tons of spelling and grammar
errors will be seen nowhere but the bin.

These are some of the tips that you may follow to write what a distinct and diverse technical write up.
