Melabev 2012 Moonlight Walk
This year's Moonlight Walk will be in the area
of Tel Azeka, recognized as the site of the
battle between David and Goliath. Similar to
last year's walk, we will be offering two trails,
one on flatter ground and one slightly more
challenging. In each case, the hike will be
between one hour to one and one half hours.
As this date falls out on the 13th of Kislev, we
will be hiking with the nearly-full moon directly
over our heads. In this area where there is
very little light-pollution and without many tall
trees, we will be using the moon as our main
source of light.
Upon the conclusion of our walk, we will partake in the traditional festive barbeque
combined with live entertainment.
Anyone who would like to participate in this year's event is asked NOT to throw rocks – this
site is notorious for giants getting seriously injured by flying projectiles ☺!
