Founding co-director, with Lorne Olfman, of the Social Learning Software
Laboratory, [SL]2. Using a combination of action research and design research
methods, more than 12 student research associates of [SL]2 are actively engaged
in projects that employ social software—such as blogs, discussion tools, and
wikis—to foster learning through online conversation and collaboration. One
example project is the Claremont Conversation Online (http://conversation.cgu.edu).
