I was a loyal listener of coast 1040 since its move in may of 92 the 800 frequency was very weak but it didnt douce my
enthusiasm for the 4mat it was an amazing period definatly the best commercial radio station I ever listened to. however I News
was sceptical it could survive commercially. the playlist went against the grain of many young music fans more content to Places
hear Jethro Tull and Zep reruns or the latast by John Mellencamp or the Eagles. For a brief time a station dared to dream.

Thanks for your kind words. We had a blast making this little film about Coast 1040. It was too bad the station was not
able to survive but as you say, we all have great memories around it. I was lucky to live in Toronto when CFNY was
around. David was a big supporter of my former band, Images in Vogue. So when he came calling asking me to make the
promo for 1040, I accepted the challenge immediately. Thanks again . Gary Smith
