USEF AMATEUR MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS: Every rider or driver having reached his 18 birthday prior to December 1, 2011
must have in his possession an USEF Amateur card or apply for a USEF Amateur card in the show office for a fee of $30. If a non-
member wishes to participate in a class restricted to amateurs, it is suggested that he or she join USEF as a $55 Competing Senior
Active member, which includes amateur certification, and sign as an amateur [rather than pay the $30 USEF Non-Member Fee and
the $30 USEF Amateur Card fee].

Motorized Vehicle Use
In accordance with USEF GR1301.7: Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized
vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited
to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who
have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult
with a valid driver's license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s)
who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s),
and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the
above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities
are exempt from this rule. No roller blades, skateboards, or scooters should be brought to the show – they are not an acceptable
mode of transportation around horses at this show.
Golf Carts are for show management only. No outside golf carts may be driven anywhere on the show grounds.

National Qualifications
Top five winners in the 2012 Regional Championship Classes will be qualified for National Championship competitions. Exceptions
are the Region 9 Stallion Service Futurity, Leadline, Western Pleasure 3 Year Old Futurity, and Sport Horse Jackpot class winners.
For more detail on AHA National Qualifications, refer to 2012 AHA Handbook Chapter 11, Section 12.

No-Show Penalty
Any horse that has been entered into a class who does not wish to exhibit in the class must scratch AT THE SHOW OFFICE as far in
advance of the class as possible, or with the Paddock Master (if the situation dictates directly prior to the class). Any horse that is a
no-show for its class and has not been scratched as indicated above will incur a $25 penalty. Open checks will be required at
show check-in in the event this penalty must be assessed.

Qualifications of Entries
In order to compete in Regional Arabian, Half-Arabian, and Anglo-Arabian Championship classes, a horse must:
1. Be issued a Certificate of Registration from the Arabian Horse Association (AHA), the Canadian Arabian Horse Registry (CAHR),
or the Canadian Partbred Arabian Register (CPAR).
2. Be qualified in an AHA Recognized Show that was held within the preceding calendar year and that period of the current year
prior to the final deadline of entries of the show in which the Regional Championship class is held.
3. Be qualified at an AHA Recognized Show for the Regional Championship class(es) to be entered. To compete in the Region 9
Regional Championship Show you must qualify in a class that was held at an AHA Recognized Region 9 Qualifying Show.
It is the responsibility of the person(s) signing the Entry Form to verify that the horse is eligible to be entered and compete in the
Regional Championship class. Check the 2012 AHA Handbook for updated qualification guidelines.

Responsibility
All entries are accepted with the understanding that neither Region 9 AHA, nor the Will Rogers Memorial Center and the City of
Fort Worth, will be responsible for any loss, personal injury or damage to horses exhibited or for any article of any kind or any
nature that may be lost or destroyed or in any way damaged. All horses shall be under the control and direction of the respective
Show Committee but solely at the risk of the exhibitor who will be responsible for any loss, damage, or injury of any person, animal
or property occasioned by him or his agents or employees, or by any animal owned or exhibited by him, and shall indemnify
Region 9 AHA and the Will Rogers Equestrian Center and the City of Fort Worth against any and all legal costs, including attorney
fees which may be the result thereof. The submitting of any entry form to the respective Show Secretary shall constitute an
acceptance of the provisions herein set forth.
Sharps Containers
Sharps containers will be placed for every fifty occupied stalls for the disposal of needles and other disposable sharp instruments in
convenient locations in barns housing competition horses. These containers when full will be disposed of properly. Competition
management may fine any individuals including trainers, owners, exhibitors, or their agents up to $100 for improper disposal of
needles or other sharp disposable instruments.
