    The USAA Pendleton Cup provides a diverse schedule of intramural level events that are
    open to active duty Marines and Sailors stationed aboard Camp Pendleton. No entry fees are
    required for Pendleton Cup events!

    The Camp Pendleton Youth Sports program provides a positive sports experience for youth
    ages 5-18 within the community. Sports include soccer, baseball, flag football, basketball
    and cheerleading.

Whether you’re looking to repair, restore or soup up your auto, the Auto Skills Center has
two locations at Camp Pendleton with all the necessary equipment. Offering an extensive
collection of tools, advanced machinery, battery chargers, brake center, steam cleaners and
electronic testing equipment. Along with plenty of space to work on vehicles. Knowledgeable
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified mechanics available for advice and assistance.
The center is staffed with experts who are available to provide advice, computer printouts,
comprehensive repair manuals and direction on how to complete just about any repair job.

Golf couRse
The hidden jewel of Windmill Canyon with rolling foothills and mature trees, Marine Memorial
Golf Course is one of Camp Pendleton’s best-kept secrets. Designed by renowned architect
William P. “Billy” Bell, he is credited for bunker shaping, ingenuity and innovations with
golf course construction. The Marine Memorial Golf Course, showcases Bell’s finest layout
and design with an 18-hole PGA championship course that is a challenge for the seasoned
golfer, yet playable for the novice. Playing 6,865 from the tips, this par 72 layout takes full
advantage of its secluded natural setting. Natural grass driving range (as well as mats),
practice putting green, sand bunkers, chipping areas and non-metal spike course. Enjoy the
Marine Corps heritage of this legendary course and play for the history, the heroes and for
the tradition.

     The Health Promotion department offers classes, information and programs on all aspects of
     health. Classes on nutrition, fitness, stress management, injury prevention, STD prevention,

     lake o’neill
     The Lake O’Neill Peninsula is well-suited for large group activities such as promotions,
     retirements and wedding receptions. The Peninsula has picnic cabanas, BBQ grills, a
     stage, electrical power and athletic facilities.

     The Lake O’Neill campgrounds offer campsites with water, electricity, sewer hookups and
     tent camping. American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant. Fishing is permitted year-
     round (the lake is stocked and bait is sold at both facility offices). Both California State
     license and Camp Pendleton permit are required.

     For fun at sea, the Del Mar Marina is the place to be! Whether you’re an accomplished
     sailor or novice, the Marina can provide everything but the wind in your sails. The Del
     Mar Marina offers slip rentals, basic ocean sailing classes, coastal piloting classes,
     kayak, sailboat, power boat, pedal boat and paddle board rentals, along with cruises to
     Dana Point, Catalina Island, Mission Bay, San Diego and other destinations. For the up-
     and-coming sailor in the family, the Marina offers Youth Sailing Classes in the summer.
     Open year-round for boat rentals. Take to the high seas at the Del Mar Marina.

Camp Pendleton has two pools that provide recreational and instructional swimming, lap
swimming and unit training. Enjoy lap swimming year-round at the 14 Area Pool, which also
provides lifeguard training and water safety courses. Pools have large sun decks and highly

     RecReational shootinG
     The Recreational Shooting range at Camp Pendleton features two skeet ranges for
     American and International Skeet. One range is used for five-stand sporting clays and
     two trap ranges. Sixteen yards, doubles, wobble and handicap trap are shot. Guns,
     ammo, hearing and eye protection and free instruction available.

     Recreational Shooting is open for active duty personnel and their families, retired
     military, authorized DoD personnel and guests. Hearing and eye protection required for
     all participants. Checks or cash only. Watch for Intramural, League and Vado Del Rio
     Trap and Skeet Club events! Located at 25 Area (Vado Del Rio).

     Single Marine program (SMp)
     The Single Marine Program (SMP) at Camp Pendleton enhances the quality of life for single, active duty
     personnel by providing positive and rewarding outlets through recreation, community involvement and
     dynamic facilities.

     Events and Community Involvement
     Base-wide meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at 1:30pm at various facilities across the
     installation. Contact (760) 725-6722 for monthly location. Join the Single Marine Program staff and
     unit reps as we discuss quality of life issues, upcoming recreational events and volunteer opportunities.
     Volunteer opportunities include: Habitat for Humanity, Toys-for-Tots, Adopt-a-School, beach cleanups,
     veterans and retirement home visits.
     One-Day Trips include: local amusement park outings, sporting events, TV shows tapings, deep sea
     fishing and spa days.
     Weekend Trips include: skiing, white water rafting, Las Vegas, San Francisco and camping in the Grand
     Canyon. Trips generally depart Friday mornings and return Sunday evenings. Cost varies based on trip
     cost and include transportation and lodging.

Services offered include boarding, training, lessons, leasing and special events. Lessons and training
available for all disciplines and skill levels of Western and English riding. Stepp Stables is the final
resting place of Staff Sergeant Reckless, a famous horse veteran and Korean war hero. Programs
include the Jinx McCain Wounded Warrior Riding Program, a riding program for Wounded Warriors
that teaches all aspects of horsemanship, the “Tiny Tot” program for young students ages six and
under, and the popular leasing program, for benefits of horse ownership without the commitment.

     Youth Programs at Camp Pendleton are nationally affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America
     and offer a variety of activities and programs for youth and teens ages 10-18 (attending high school).

Marine Corps Community Services recreation programs and facilities
provide a wide variety of activities for Camp Pendleton Marines, Sailors,
their families, retirees and DoD employees. Intramural activities rival
those of major universities and a world-class race series comprised of 10
competitive events, including the World Famous® Mud Run, which is the
largest of all DoD installations as well as Southern California.

Many recreational activities are provided free of charge to active duty
personnel stationed at Camp Pendleton to include 13 state-of-the-art
fitness centers, group exercise, combat conditioning. Health Promotion
services include physical fitness, nutrition, STD awareness and prevention,
suicide awareness and prevention, drug abuse, alcohol prevention and
awareness, injury prevention, stress management, tobacco cessation and
hypertension prevention.

The Single Marine Program showcases six recreation centers with trips,
volunteer opportunities and quality of life programming. Many special
events are offered throughout the year including the July 4th Beach Bash,
concerts and mixed martial arts events. Two pristine beaches with villas,
cottages, trailers and campsites are available for the perfect getaway.
Exciting new offerings are coming over the next few years.

Enjoy a PGA 18-hole golf course, a 40 lane bowling center, horseback
riding, stables, skeet and trap ranges, discounted event ticket, movie
theater and a full service travel agency. Other recreation activities include
varsity sports teams and youth sports as well as two recreation gear
issue locations, ocean and pool lifeguards, aquatics programs, an auto
skill center, Lake O’Neill recreation area, four vehicle storage lots, group
campsites and a marina.

                      Many recreational activities offer programming
                      through the Exceptional Family Member Program
                      (EFMP). Reasonable accommodations and American
                      with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliancy for rec inclusion
