Revolution American Revolution” is a historical,
educational, and patriotic organization that
seeks to maintain the institutions of American
freedom, an appreciation for true patriotism, a
respect for our national symbols, and the value
of American citizenship. The SAR does this by
recalling the stories of patriotism, courage,
sacrifice, tragedy, and triumph of those who
achieved the independence of the American
people.

5. 50th Signal Battalion The 50th Signal Battalion (Expeditionary) is
Commanded by Lieutenant Colonel
Christopher M. O'Connor. The Command
Sergeant Major is Command Sergeant Mathew
I. Acome. The 50th Signal Battalion (EXP) is
one of 12 of the Army’s Expeditionary Signal
Battalions, and the only Expeditionary Signal
Battalion on Fort Bragg. Their mission is to
provide rapidly deployable, secure and non-
secure voice, data and visual communications
(C4) support during joint and combined
operations anywhere in the world.

1922 Post 116 is the Home Post of NC
American Legion Riders, being the first Post in

Missions In Action), WWP (Wounded
Warriors Project) and Toys for Tots. As
servers the community with scholarships,
delivering school supplies, stocking the food
bank and scouting programs.

Service. We are chartered by the All Saints
Council of the Knights of Columbus #9709, and
are based at St. Francis of Assisi Church in

Methodist Church near Garner, NC has
been a community program for over 28 years.
We are in the Hemlock District, part of the
Occoneechee Council of Boy Scouts of America.
Our mission is to develop young boys into
young men and make it fun.
13. American Red Cross The American Red Cross Services to the
Armed Forces program provides emergency
communications between military members
and their families . Volunteers from Red Cross
chapters and Red Cross offices on military
installations serve in 153 VA hospitals around
the nation. It is their way of saying thank-you
to that special group of men and women who
answered their country’s call and who are now
cared for each day in VA medical centers.

L.L.C. have had veterans ride and we enter to
celebrate our Vets.

37. Sanderson High The Sanderson H.S. Air Force JROTC corps of
School AFJROTC cadets have been selected as an Air Force
Junior ROTC Distinguished Unit for nine
consecutive year -- every year since the award
was created. Over the last eight years, 100
percent of Sanderson’s senior cadets have
graduated from high school and have earned
over eight million dollars in college
scholarships. Each year, Sanderson's cadets
accomplish over 3500 hours of school and
community service hours. Projects included
color guards at home sports events, the NC
State Fair, NC High School Athletic Association
championship games, school escort and guide
duties during open houses, Adopt-A Highway,
tutoring reading and math at Green
Elementary School, plus much more. This year,
the corps of cadets is 185 strong

41. Cub Scout Pack 222 & Cub Scout Pack 222 is in their 20th year, and is
Boy Scout Troop 22 proud to announce Boy Scout Troop 22, which
was formed just a few months ago. Both units
are chartered to Macedonia Baptist Church.
The cubmaster is Carl Sommer, and the
Scoutmaster is Mike King.

43. Cary High School Cary has been a Navy Distinguished Unit for
Navy Junior ROTC the past eleven consecutive years, four time
Best in Area (all of NC and SC) unit and the
five time NC state champion Navy JROTC
unit. The Commanding officer is Cadet
Lieutenant Donna Supple and the Color Guard

Earley. The commanders of the platoons are
Cadet Senior Chief Brian Schmid for the
Armed Platoon and Cadet Senior Chief Nereda
Rodriguez for the Unarmed Platoon.
44. Civil Air Patrol- Raleigh-Wake Composite Squadron
Raleigh-Wake Cadets representing Civil Air Patrol an all volunteer
auxiliary of the United States Air Force. We do
90 percent of all inland search and rescue
missions for the Air force. Members are age 12-
95. We are the largest squadron in the middle
east region.

Operation: Military (OMK) and 4-H programs are honored
Kids to continue the tradition in providing the more
than 109,375 military youth and their families

46. Cub Scout Pack 217 Cub Scout Pack 217 is Chartered by
Crossroads Fellowship. They are heavily
engaged in growing healthy, strong young boys
into active, involved future citizens. The Pack
meets on Monday nights at 6:30 each week,
where they focus on teaching each boy to do his
best and do his duty to God and to country.

Riders post 232 have a keen interest in motorcycles, we are the
first American legion riders group to have

in a war time theater for membership in our
post. The post meets the first Thursday each
month at Gwndolyn’s on Curtis Drive, Raleigh,

59. Millbrook High School The JROTC program is in its third year at
JROTC - Wildcat Millbrook High School. Cadets work and study
Batallion to develop the core values of leadership,
citizenship and responsibility. Cadets are
involved in a variety of community service
projects around the Raleigh area.

Employee Resource Group was founded in
2008 by American Airlines Employees.
Employees hold office fundraisers and give

collections and ship packages to the troops.

Knightdale. The DAV is made up exclusively of
men and women disabled in our nation's
defense, the Disabled American Veterans is
dedicated to one, single purpose: building
better lives for all of our nation's disabled
veterans and their families. Providing free,
professional assistance to veterans and their
families in obtaining benefits and services
earned through military service and provided
by the Department of Veterans Affairs and
other agencies of government.

75 boys located in Raleigh, NC. It was
chartered in 1992 and is celebrating 20 years in
2012. Its Charter Organization is Soapstone
United Methodist Church. The Cubmaster is
David Hodges and the Assistant Cubmaster is
Ted Lowery.

67. City of Raleigh Public Happy Veteran's Day from The City of Raleigh
Utilities Dept Public Utilities Department! In the parade
today are Public Utilities employees who have
served in the Armed Services. “Serving our
country, serving our community”--The Public
Utilities department provides water and
sanitary sewer service to approximately
179,000 metered water and sewer customers in
a service area of approximately 485,000 in
Raleigh, Garner, Knightdale, Rolesville, Wake
Forest, Wendell and Zebulon. Public Utilities
employees are on our roadways and
neighborhoods reading meters, working on
construction projects, maintaining and
repairing our water and sewer lines throughout
the service area…and they take pride in
providing reliable water and sewer service to
customers.
68. Tarheel Challenge Tarheel Challenge Academy is a disciplined,
Academy military style education program for at-risk
male and female youth, ages 16-18 who have
dropped out of school or are having difficulty
being successful in a current school
environment. The mission of Tarheel Challenge
is to redirect the efforts of young adults by
providing them an opportunity to improve
their life coping skills, to advance their
education, to improve their employment
readiness, and to become productive citizens in
their community.

69. Star International STAR Touring and Riding is an International
Chapter 267 Organization of motorcycle riders focused on
family, fun, camaraderie and RIDING. As we
ride with the emphasis on the fun, we take
safety seriously and ride as to ride again and
again. In 2001 STAR Touring and Riding
formed STAR VETS. As one of the fastest
growing segments of the organization, STAR
VETS honors and commemorates the sacrifices
of the men and women who have served or are
currently serving their country.

71. Pack 332 Our Pack has been chartered by Our Lady of
Lourdes in Raleigh for over 30 years. We have
all ranks from Tiger Scouts through Webelos
and also have a large Boy Scout troop.
72. Cub Scout Pack 347 Cub Scout Pack 347, Knightdale, NC. Cub
Knightdale Scout Pack 347 is proud to announce they are
celebrating 49 years as a chartered member of
the Boy Scouts of America! They meet every
Monday night at 7:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist
Church located at 8800 Poole Road in
Knightdale. We would like to thank and
acknowledge Mr. Charles Bullock of B & B
Towing in Knightdale for supplying the
military trucks the Scouts are riding in today
for the Veterans Day Parade.
