May 18, 2008 James Knauer : Dr Yin (formerly Mesack Burns) Dale Beitz : Morty Kramer John Lennox : Detective Maggio (Mags) John Ybarra : Johnny Bag-o-Donuts (formerly The Turk) – (absent) Tex Ball : Sam Susan Hartung: Claire Urs (absent) Gary Minix : John Holmes Dr Yin and Morty, fleeing the shooting incident at DeMarcos, are on foot and make it to the gates of Heaven Acres Cemetery as they head north. Sam is at the asylum in the role he assumed as the new Director. Holmes is at the Hotel Royal in the city center waiting for his bomb to go off at Ocean World. Maggio had visited Rizzo and is heading north to meet with Johnny. Johnny was searching the northern part of town for mob goons to molest before meeting with Mags. Claire is at her job as a dancing girl at Mario’s Dance Club. Sam is in is office at the asylum finishing some paperwork. The former director, Richard Felch, is currently committed at the asylum. Going through the files, Sam notices the fact that both Felch and George Rizzo, Frank Rizzo’s brother, were committed on the same day. Sam’s secretary is Alicia Bliss. His assistant director is Heime Mankowitz. Both Rizzo and Felch are delusional, they think something is after them, and they both go into murderous tirades. Sam goes to see Felch. As soon as he leaves the office, he’s approached by Heime who volunteers to do anything Sam wants. Sam has him polish the doorknobs while he goes to talk to Felch, who is currently staring at the ceiling and drooling. He goes to check on Rizzo, who is standing in the center of the room glaring at Sam with bloodshot eyes. He gets the sense that Rizzo would kill him given the opportunity. He leaves and checks on the status of the pharmacy supplies. They are quite well stocked. Heime approaches Sam and tells him that they’ve had the escape - it’s Dr Yin. He’s told that they don’t know how Yin got out, but he was seen getting into a taxi. Nothing has been reported to the police. Heime asks if the private eye in their employ, Simon, should locate him. Sam gives orders for Simon to locate him and then come back and report where he is. Sam then goes back to the pharmacy and withdraws Thorazine, Sodium Pentothol, and various other drugs giving the excuse that he needs them to recover the escaped prisoner. He also grabs a medical kit to carry it all in. He then spends some time reading recent newspapers. He learns of a recent upswing in mob violence. There is news of a new mobster going by the name of Johnny Bag-o-Donuts, which name he recognizes. There is also news of a theater exploding, the only clue being a bag of donuts at the scene. There is a theory that there is a cop on the take who is responsible. Holmes is at the Hotel Royal, staring out the window overlooking Ocean World. He hears a thunderclap and sees a huge tail fluke go somersaulting through the air and landing in the center of town. He laughs hysterically. He walks north, heading for Gambler’s Row. Morty and Dr Yin are at Heaven Acres Cemetery. Yin’s wounded leg is stable, but hurting quite a bit. The cemetery is quite wooded, which provides plenty of cover as they make their escape from the shooting. There is a funeral going on, so there are lots of parked cars and a hearse. The cars are out of eyeshot of the mourners. The car behind the hearse is a four door black sedan. Yin and Morty take the four door sedan and head for Gambler’s Row in the northside district. Sam is catching up on news, he reads of the new sensational dancer, Claire Urs, at Mario’s Dance Club. He asks Heime if he knows how to contact Simon for a report. Heime says he can do so. Sam tells Heime to contact Simon, find out his progress, and come get Sam. He then rummages around to see what sort of money he can scrounge up. He asks Alicia if they have any petty cash. They don’t, but she hands over the sanatorium checkbook which has a $100,000 balance. Simon arrives and takes him to the bank, where Sam writes a $1000 check so he has some operating cash. Sam tries to figure out how “straight arrow” Simon is. He detects that he is somehow emotionally tied to the sanatorium; he gets a sense of admiration and loyalty whenever the sanatorium is mentioned. Sam explains that this escape could be a serious problem if news got out, they need to keep it quiet. Some things could happen that may not be considered exactly legal. Sam asks what Simon gets paid. He says $100 per day plus expenses. Sam hands over $500 and says it’s a bonus between the two of them. Simon agrees. They renew their efforts to find Dr Yin. The day passes without learning much. They return to the sanatorium for the evening. Sam returns to his apartment to spend the night. In the room is a picture of the former director with someone dressed in what looks like priest’s robes. On a wall rack is a hunting rifle with a scope, and several large animal heads. The next morning Sam is greeted by Alicia who says he has a phone message from Frank Rizzo. He is coming to the asylum at 3:30 to discuss his brother’s condition. There is a phone message from Simon saying he’s got some leads and will report in when he learns anything of import. Sam spends the rest of the day preparing for Rizzo’s visit and reviewing the files of various patients. He notices a strange trend of 15 people committed over the last eight years, all of which seem to be related to the church. They were church employees or had other church ties. They seem to have the same case histories as the former Director Felch and George Rizzo. Alicia comes in with a box of stuff that was removed from the former director’s desk. Sam goes through it and finds an appointment book. The day before the former director was committed, he had a meeting with Priest Joseph Humbacker. Sam takes the staff car to the local newspaper, the Billet Times, and checks the archives for whatever he can learn. A librarian checks with the boss, and Sam is given permission to search. He finds nothing of note. He returns to the asylum for his afternoon appointment. As he gets there the alarm is going off, his secretary says that there is a problem with George Rizzo. He’s gotten out of his restraints and is using his head on the door as a battering ram. He calls the largest orderlies to try and get control of him. As he gets there, he can sense that there are two people in the room. He orders his staff to leave the door closed. Suddenly the attacks on the door stop. Sam can sense that there are two people in there, both filled with hatred, but that’s all he can get. He looks in the inspection window and all he can see is Rizzo standing there with a bloody head. He orders the orderlies to go in and grab him, Sam prepares an injection. Rizzo is wrestled to the floor and the injection is given, George calms down and Sam can no longer sense the second presence. As he goes unconscious, George is mumbling under his breath and making motions with his hands. Sam gives orders for George to be put in new restraints and to have his injuries treated. Sam checks on the former director, who seems calm. He can’t sense anything from him. He tries to have a conversation with him, and is summarily ignored. Sam senses that mentally there is nobody home, which is quite strange of itself. Frank Rizzo arrives at the asylum, accompanied by two goons. He asks for a report on his brother. Sam reports that he’s concerned about George. He reports the incident of sheer hatred, and how he broke out of his restraints earlier today and battered his head on the door. Sam says he’s only been here two days, so he hasn’t had time to learn much. He asks if Rizzo knows anything about Father Joseph. Rizzo says Joseph is associated with the temple, but other than that he doesn’t know much. Rizzo says he wants to know what happened to his brother, nobody has told him so far. Rizzo says he trusts Sam. Sam can sense that he’s lying. Sam tries to persuade Rizzo to trust him, but senses that he doesn’t succeed. Rizzo says if Sam is successful in treating his brother, he’ll be considered a friend. Rizzo hands over a $10,000 check to cover expenses. Rizzo asks if Sam has heard of anyone named Johnny Bag-o-Donuts. Sam says he’s seen it in the paper, but otherwise doesn’t know him. Sam spends the remainder of the day doing more research in the files, then spends the night in his apartment at the asylum. Dr Yin and Morty are in their stolen car and reach the street that Gambler’s Row is on. Morty says that he thinks it would be a bad idea for Dr Yin to cash his check from Cohen, all it would take is a phone call from Big Frank or Cohen to hold whoever tries to cash the check. Dr Yin agrees. He wants to lay low for a while and rest his leg. Morty explains his plan to find a museum or university and research any archaeological sites in the area in hopes of learning about any obelisks. There’s got to be some way to get back home from here. They park the car in a lot behind the hotel and take a room at the Ritz. They get a suite and prepay for a week. They’re given a suite on the 3rd floor facing the alley. It’s got two bedrooms and a common room. Along they alley are dozens of prostitutes plying their trade. Dr Yin’s leg looks like it’s not healing, so Morty goes out to find some drugs and medical supplies to treat the wound. In the meantime Dr Yin calls room service and orders booze and food - a pot roast. A bellboy arrives with a cart of food and booze. Dr Yin tips him $5. At the apothecary Morty gives a story that he and his brother were out hunting and his brother stumbled into a barbed wire fence. He needs some sulfa and bandages to treat the injury. The apothecary looks suspicious and says he’s got a kit that could even treat a bullet wound. He charges $100 for it. Morty returns to the hotel room and finds Dr Yin half passed out on the couch. There’s some morphine in the medical bag, and Morty gives him a shot. He then cleans and treats the wound, applies sulfa, and binds the wound. While he’s treating him, Dr Yin is mumbling incoherently and waving his hands around. Suddenly a large stink-beetle appears on his chest. Dr Yin picks it up and starts talking to it. The beetle seems to pay attention to him. Dr Yin mumbles for a while longer and passes out. Morty drags him into his bedroom, being careful not to crush the beetle. He then heads down to the casino. Maggio makes his way to the northside to find that Johnny isn’t at their agreed meeting place yet. He goes to an Italian restaurant and orders a calzone to go. While he waits for it, three mob guys enter. They go to a table with three other guys seated at it. They begin to chat, and Maggio overhears them talking about Johnny Bag-o-Donuts. Apparently each group of three is from different mob groups, and each says they’ve heard that the other is somehow associated with this new guy. The three newcomers get up and tell the seated men to call off this Donut guy, the three remaining say he’s not their man, the ones leaving should call him off. The three standing men walk out. About 30 second later a car pulls up front, Maggio dives behind the counter. The place is being riddled by machine gun fire. The guys in the corner duck behind the tables and return fire. Maggio pulls out a grenade and throws it through the shattered front window at the car. It explodes, taking out the car. Things get very quiet. The three guys in the corner get up and come out. They see Maggio hiding behind the counter and ask if he’s OK. He is. Several patrons leave the restaurant. The three guys and Maggio step out front and they can see the exploded car with four dead goons in it. One of the three says “I wonder if any of these guys was Johnny Bag-o-Donuts. Get their ID’s” Maggio goes to grab a wallet to see if they had any cash and the apparent leader of the three mob guys order him away. Maggio pulls his Desert Eagle and shoots him in the knee. The other guys draw, and Mags gets them in the knees as well. He goes to the first guy and shoots him in both hands, then asks who they work for. They work for Diamond. The goon asks if Maggio is Johnny Bag-o-Donugs. He says no, he’s Mags, Johnny’s right hand man. He says he don’t like people talking about his friends. He tells them to go back and tell Diamond to lay off. He shoots the lead mob guy again, saying “That’s from Rizzo”. A waitress comes out and hands him a bullet-riddled calzone. He takes it. As he leaves, he shoots the crawling lead mobster and kills him. Sam is in his office, he pulls out the fox staff and examines it. As soon as he holds his ability to sense emotions is magnified. With the staff in hand he can actually sense various minds in the area, including his secretary and a delivery man. The delivery man is thinking about his date, his secretary is thinking about donuts. He leaves the office, and there is a bag of donuts on the counter. The secretary says it was just delivered for George Rizzo. She says if Sam is going to go see him, would he take the bag with him? He does, and calls for some orderlies to go with him. Sam looks in the bag and there are several kinds of filled donuts. He closes takes the bag of donuts without taking any, and takes the fox staff with him. He and the orderlies meet at Rizzo’s door. One of the orderlies is thinking that Frank Rizzo will kill him if he doesn’t do his job right. Sam can also sense two people in Rizzo’s room for a moment, but then the second presence is gone. Rizzo is now a total blank. He then goes to Director Felch’s room, and he is also blank. As he concentrates on him, he realizes that something is blocking him from reading them. He realizes that the fox staff is aiding his abilities, but it has a great deal more potential. He sends the orderlies with the donuts down to the lunch room and returns to his apartment and concentrates on the staff. Morty has left Dr Yin in his room and goes to the casino. He plays for a while and quits when he’s $600 ahead. He then goes to the bar for drinks, and eventually returns to his room. When he gets there the room stinks. Morty opens a window and it helps somewhat. He checks on Yin, he’s still passed out in his bed and the stinkbug is nestled under his chin. The bandage on his leg is all torn away, but the wound is mostly healed. The smell is coming from the leg. It’s not a gangrene smell, it’s a stinkbug smell. Morty tries to talk to the bug, but it just waves it’s antenna at him and goes back to sleep. A short while later Dr Yin wakes up. He says he’s feeling great. He also says that Cohen is next on his list. Morty says he had thought about getting a scoped rifle, sneaking into the building across from Big Frank’s, and taking out either Cohen or Frank or both. Dr Yin agrees. Morty says he still wants to do the archaeology research somewhere. They both go to their rooms and sleep. Maggio wanders around town for a while. He buys a bag of donuts, and as he leaves a policeman confronts him. When the cop asks what he’s doing with donuts, Mags pulls his badge and says they’re for personal consumption. They both laugh, and the cop says it’s a bad thing when you can’t trust a guy to buy a bag of donuts. Mags eventually returns to the restaurant where the shooting took place. He sees policemen working at clearing out the crime scene. He asks if they have any leads. They order him to leave, then he flashes his badge. They start to cooperate and say they don’t have any leads. He asks if they know Dirk Digler (the cop who helped Mags when he first appeared here), the cop says he’s the lieutenant in their precinct. Mags looks over the body and points out that some of the wounds are .50 cal. That’s Johnny Bag-o-Donuts signature. Mags says he theorizes that Johnny was here, but got caught unprepared and without a bag of donuts. Mags convinces the cop to let him leave his bag of donuts with the car, since this was clearly the work of Johnny. At the asylum, Sam is awakened by an explosion. Heime knocks on his door shortly thereafter. When Sam answers the door, Heime says “Sir, there’s a problem with the donuts. They explode!”. The commissary was damaged as a result, and several employees were killed. Maggio makes his way to Sam the gunsmith to pick up the .50 cal bullets that he had made. The man seems somehow reluctant. Maggio calls him on it, the shop owner says he doesn’t have a problem. But his tone says otherwise. Maggio says “By your tone and your face, I can tell you’ve figured something out.” Sam says “If I’ve figured anything out, others have too.” Maggio says “OK, who has the hit out on me, and who is listening now?” Sam says “I don’t know anything about that.” Maggio hands him a piece of paper and Sam says “Oh, you want a receipt?” He writes a note, while saying “Where are you staying? I need to know in case you need some bullets delivered.” John says “I’m staying at the Hotel Regency, room 651. Is there anything else you need to show me?” The man points at the back room and ducks. Maggio throws a grenade out back, and hears “Oh shit!” and then a boom. He goes back and finds three dead guys with machine guns. He checks their ID’s, they’re Joey Diamond’s guys. Sam says they came in, saw the .50 cal bullets, and got suspicious. Sam says he now has to leave town. Maggio gives him $3000, Sam turns over the keys to the gun shop and leaves, locking the door behind him. Maggio looks around and takes a sniper rifle and some various ammo for his guns. As he’s taking his stuff, there’s a knock on the door. It’s cop looking into the smoke-hazed room. Maggio opens the door and the cop confronts him. Maggio flashes his badge and the cop accepts it. The cop asks what he’s doing here. Mags says he had made contact with Sam the gunsmith to see if he knew anything, and when he came back today he found three dead guys and no Sam. The damage was done by a grenade, which Sam didn’t deal in. Clearly this is the work of Johnny Bag-o-Donuts. The cop accepts Mags’s analysis of the situation, and comments about the various recent problems, including the explosion at Ocean World. The cop says Rizzo is really broken up about that, since he had raised that whale as a pet. An old woman was killed by the tail fluke when it landed on her wheelchair downtown. Several more cops arrive and take over the scene, Mags leaves. Holmes heads for St Ramolian’s Basilica downtown. It’s a huge star-shaped building with lots of columns and statues on top. At the gate he asks the guards to talk to a head priest. He’s told that he only time he can enter is Sunday services, unless he has an appointment. Holmes says he has an appointment, just not here. One guard looks at the other and says “this could be an emergency”. They confer, and agree to take him to see Father Sunday... today. One guard leads him inside then through a small outdoor garden. He’s taken into the cathedral where an old man in a mitered hat stands by an altar. Holmes approaches him, and the old man introduces himself as Father Sunday. Holmes says he’s hearing voices in his head. The priest swings his staff and whacks him over the head, saying “Voices, leave this man” Holmes is knocked to his knees. Holmes says he is healed, as long as the priest stops hitting him. The priest asks how he feels, he says he has a headache. The priest whacks him again. Holmes asks for a hug, while he’s being hugged he pats the priest down. He notices the priest has a gun. Holmes says “Is that a gun, or are you just happy to see me?” The priest says it’s for hunting sinners. Holmes asks for a token to aid him in remembering the help the priest gave him. Holmes says he would prefer an omelette. The priest looks confused, and Holmes says “You know, a stone on a necklace” The priest says “Oh, an Amulet. We don’t have those.” Holmes insists on having some token. He is taken to a special prayer room, where he can pray for what his heart desires. The priests says he’s heard of people who pray there getting what they deserved. Holmes is taken through a maze of hallways and down several steps, into a dark area with stone walls. He heads down a spiral staircase leading deep underground. Along the walls are tomb niches. At the end of the hall is an open circular room. In the center of the room is a six foot wide hole in the floor, at one side of the room is an altar. The priest leaves him there, suggesting he pray at the altar. Holmes dives down the hole and falls for a long time. At the bottom he hits hard, and goes rolling through piles of bones which break beneath him. When he stops and becomes coherent it’s very dark. After his eyes adjust he can see a faint blue filament of light. He walks for a while and finds a faint blue bulbous item with a wood stem. He picks it up, it smells like some sort of oil. It’s extremely dark. He gets oil on his hands from handling it. He can still see the faint light. He takes the item and taps the ground where the light is. It bursts into flame, as a torch. He realizes he’s on a narrow stone walkway with a dropoff on either side. He walks for a very long time and eventually finds a rotted skeleton, mostly fallen to powder. One arm is stretched out, pointing along the walkway. Something round is sticking up through the fingers. He takes the item and it’s a small round sphere. It’s very warm as he holds it. Where he stands the blue light is now brighter, and pulses along a line in the direction that the finger points. He holds the sphere against his testicles and they likewise feel warm. He moves along in the direction of the blue light and eventually comes to a place with four stone pillars and a the remains of a stone roof. The roof has collapsed and the columns are cracked and nearly falling down. As he steps within the pillars Holmes hears a voice in his head. (What it said is not revealed here). The stone pulses in his hand. At the center of the four pillars is a round hole. He throws the sphere down the hole. It falls for some time, then about 30 seconds later a red glow comes from the hole. Holmes backs up as a huge flame flashes up the hole and lights up the room. He can now see he’s inside a huge underground complex. Back in the direction he came from is a pile of skeletons. Off in the distance ahead he can see an obelisk. The light gets incredibly bright, and he loses a moment of time. When he returns to his senses, Holmes is back in the prayer room. From the hole in the floor comes a faint red glow. Suddenly, Morty is able to decipher the runes on the snake staff he carries. He now knows how to use it. The same is true of Sam and the staff he has. Sam tries to reach out to Director Felch, and is still blocked. But now he can see the blockage, and knows he can break through it. He does, and inside Felch is healthy. Sam provides the illusion that he is in the room with Felch and they are having a conversation. He tells him all is fine, and asks what is the last thing he can recall. Felch asks if he is crazy. Sam says that Felch is not crazy, but circumstances have overtaken him. Sam has been sent to help. Felch says the last thing he recalls is a meeting between himself, George Rizzo, and Father Joseph where they were coming to an agreement over the church donation money. They were taken to the tombs below the church and something came out of them and attacked. Sam tells him that he will make arrangements for his release. Sam wipes Felch’s mind of the memory of the meeting with Rizzo and the Father. Dr Yin wakes up with knowledge of the eagle staff he carries. He gets up and finds Morty, who is asleep in the next room. It’s 7AM. Dr Yin says we need to go and make good on this check we can’t cash. We need to go down to Cohen’s office and all hell will break loose. He says they’ll run from us. Morty asks for more info, and he says that Cohen is an accountant, he’ll have lots of money. Yin says he has a secret weapon. Yin says he summoned the stink bug. All he has to do is summon something larger into Cohen’s room. He mentions a name that Morty never heard of, and says the mobsters will run from it. Morty asks why it wouldn’t turn on us. Dr Yin says “Good point. Just stay out of it’s way.” Morty says he’d be more comfortable with his plan of getting some rifles and shooting from the next building. Yin says we don’t need rifles. Well, maybe a couple. He’s really gung-ho to go. Sam uses his mental powers to contact Dr Yin. Dr Yin’ mind is very high-strung and emotionally charged. Sam can sense a dark spot in Yin’s mind that he cannot get into, but otherwise he’s in contact. He introduces himself as the doctor from the asylum. Dr Yin speaks aloud as if having a conversation with someone, which seems very strange to Morty. Dr Yin suddenly says we’re at the Ritz in the northside casino district. Sam says he’ll be there in 20 minutes. Morty asks what that was all about. Dr Yin says the doctor is coming here. Morty says “Maybe that’s a good think. Perhaps you should return to the asylum for a while.” Mags hears a voice in his room saying “Mags, it’s me.” He sees the door opens, and Sam walks into the room. Mags asks where he’s at, Sam says he’s in charge of the mental hospital outside town. Mags says he’s working as an assassin. Sam says he’s trying to get us all together. Mags asks if he’s been in touch with Morty or any of the others. Mags says he’s been in touch with Mesack (now Dr Yin), who is at the Ritz. Mags says that’s where he’s at. Sam says he’s not really here, and disappears. He reappears a minute or two later and says he’s at his way into town. Sam gives the room number where Dr Yin is, it turns out he’s right next door. Maggio knocks on the door, Morty and Dr Yin let him in. They explain their plan to take out Big Frank and Cohen, Maggio agrees if they’ll help him take out Joey diamond. Suddenly Morty sees Sam walk through the closed door. He says he’s been looking for us and finally found out how to get in touch. He says he’ll be there in person in a few minutes, and then disappears. Neither Mags or Yin is able to see Sam. Sam goes into the Ritz and is confronted by a guard. Sam makes him forget he saw him. He heads goes up the elevator to Morty’s suite. In the elevator is an arguing couple, he tells them to make nice. They start having sex. He reaches his floor and leaves the elevator and knocks on the door. We let him in. As we chat, Morty asks who’s been blowing up the theaters and stuff. It wasn’t any of us, and Maggio says it wasn’t Johnny Bag-o-Donuts. Maggio says he’s met with Johnny and Holmes, but doesn’t know where either is right now. Dr Yin says that instead of Dr Yin, we should now call him Dr. Z. Morty says he wants to do some research and find out if there’s any sign of obelisks to see if we can get home. He also reveals that he suddenly knows how to use the snake staff he has, and asks Sam if his mental projection ability is related to the staff he carries. Sam ignores the question, but says he’s learned that the church has been involved in putting various people into the mental institution, including Rizzo’s brother. There are also catacombs beneath the church, which one might consider an archaeological site. This gets Morty’s interest. Maggio suggest we do some damage to Big Sally, since no one seems to have hit any of his guys yet. We head for the dockside. We get to the hotel lobby where a newsboy is shouting “Extra! Read all about it! Known mobster Big Sally is killed by exploding bum! Cops say itinerants will be arrested!” We recognize Holmes standing in the lobby, laughing manically. Sam detects an incredibly chaotic presence. It’s Holmes. We go back up to our suite. Since Fat Sally is gone, Big Frank is our next target. Holmes says we may not want to do that. He says he’s made the rest of the C4 he got from Rizzo into belts, and gave them to various bums. He told them he’d pay big money if they go visit the various bosses. He says he’s got something else to show us, and turns into a bear. Morty says he can confirm that the staves work, because one of the things the runes on his staff say is that it senses magic, and he could sense magic when Holmes made his change. Holmes says the power comes from under the church. There’s a huge catacomb down there with lots of rooms, lots of bones, and a voice that says if Holmes would help the voice, the voice would help him. So he threw a stone he found down a hole, and a flame came out. He also says there’s an obelisk down there. We could leave, but we need to find Johnny first. Holmes says Johnny could be in trouble, since Holmes has been leaving bags of donuts at the various sites he’s bombed. Suddenly Holmes shape changes into Rizzo. The new plan is for him to take the shape of Big Frank and walk us into his building. We go to the hotel lobby and no one confronts us. We go out to the parking lot and Sam scans for anyone watching. There isn’t anybody. We go to the car that Morty and Dr Z took from the funeral and drive to Franks. As we get in sight of the building, we see a huge red dragon swooping out of the sky at the building. It breathes a huge ball of fire and engulfs the top of the building, and it explodes, sending pieces of building all over the street. It causes our car to crash into a pole, and we have to dive for safety. The building we hide in is an exotic relics store that sells antiques. Morty uses the snake staff to sense magic and several of the relics do exude magic. Maggio looks to see if any of Frank’s boys are coming out of the building across the street. Holmes suddenly goes invisible, and somebody walking by explodes, and suddenly there is a horse in the building with us. A knot of Frank’s men come out with Frank in the middle. Dr Z casually strolls across the street. Sam causes Frankk to have a stroke, Morty causes a snake to fly from the adder staff and bite him, and Maggio fires a .50 cal armor piercing bullet through his head. Needless to say, Frank is dead. Maggio kills two more of Frank’s men, and a blue dragon lands and eats the other two. All the men who came out with Frank are now dead. Dr Z heads into the building and searches for money. He manages to get up to Cohen’s office, where he finds Cohen emptying the safe and stuffing the money into satchels. Dr Z shoots Cohen, and he falls out the window. Dr Yin continues stuffing money into sacks and leaves with three full sacks, totaling 3.5 million in local currency. The police are now starting to surround the building. We see a centaur come burst out of Big Frank’s building, with Dr Z riding on it bareback. Back in the curio shop, several swords and a suit of armor exude magic. Morty goes into the department store and gets several duffel bags. He takes the swords, the suit of armor (which isn’t very heavy considering it’s size), and two items mounted on placards - the Mace of Wisdom and the Whip of Healing. Sam manages to make most of the witnesses forget about the dragon, since we want this to look like a mob hit. Mags steps outside, flashes his badge, and tells the cops that this looks like a Johnny Bag-o- Donuts hit. He points out the explosions, and the .50 cal bullet holes. The cops says “We got to get the bums off the street - like the one behind you.” Mags spins and blasts the guy with his .357. The cops say “Mags, you need a vacation. Take it easy. That was an innocent bum.” Mags continues to talk up the carnage caused by Johnny. He says Johnny’s hiding out at the psych hospital. The cops promise to check it out. Suddenly a 450 pound Mexican carrying a bag of donuts comes walking down the street. He waves and turns down an alley. The cops follow him, but all they find is Holmes in the alley. He rejoins us. Holmes looks injured, so Morty hits him with the whip of healing. It hurts like hell, but it does heal the wounds. Dr Z rides up on his centaur and gives us $100,000 each, saying “thanks for nothing”. He dismisses the centaur and joins us. We load the bags of money and magic items into taxis and head back to the northside Ritz, because we’ve got rooms there and because that’s where Maggio was supposed to meet Johnny. Holmes turns into a crab and bites Morty on the nuts. Morty pulls his gun, holds it against the crab’s shell, and says “Are you gonna let go or am I gonna shoot?” Holmes turns into a fly and flies away. Next game : June 29 - Lennox should be back from his trip by then, Terry and James have something special planned for Chad, so it probably won’t be a continuation of this game.
