									Robert Geneid Biography
                                            Robert Geneid is an entrepreneurial businessman and civil engineer who
                                            resides in Malaysia, was born in Sydney, Australia in 1954. In 1976, he
                                            graduated with a BA (Civil Engineering) from the University of New South
                                            Wales. After several years, he once again took up the challenge and
                                            furthered his studies at UNSW in the 1980s, graduating with honours in
                                            law in 1985. Robert is a natural high achiever and shown this when he
                                            became one of the youngest ever Fellows of the Institution of Engineers
                                            Australia. He is also one of a handfull of people who had both Law and
                                            Civil Engineering degrees at that time.

                                            With his dual interests and strong academic background, he managed to
                                            create a successful career with some of Australia and South East Asia's
                                            top legal, property development and tourism institution. Robert Geneid was
                                            a partner at leading Australian law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques. Here
                                            he was responsible for the commercial side of the project and construction
                                            portfolio in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

His other career achievements include responsibility for all the
documentation underpinning Indonesia's largest coal mine. He                   Quick Facts
played a major role in the setting up of Jakarta's first commercial
TV station and served as legal advisor for a joint venture in
Malaysia developing the Malaysia Peninsular's gas pipeline.

Robert Geneid has also played his part in the development of
international hotels. Robert is the Managing Director for
Borsarmulu Resort Sdn. Bhd., the company that is the owner and
operator of Royal Mulu Resort and through their subsidiaries, the
management of the Gunung Mulu National Park. Robert has also
served as a Board Member of Tourism Malaysia and, since
September 2010, has also served as a Board Member of the
Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau. He is also a board
member of Sarawak Convention Bureau.

Robert has also played key roles in construction projects such as
the Taman Tunku Township developed by Kumpulan Parabena                        BA (Civil Eng) UNSW
Sdn Bhd, of which Geneid is an Executive Director. The Township                LLB UNSW
houses some 20,000 inhabitants. In addition, as Managing
