Villa Location Villa Margarita is located a few minutes walk from bars, restaurants, shops and, of course, the gorgeous beach of Son Bou. It is situated on a quiet, tree-lined, one-way street which affords peace and privacy. There is private parking in addition to parking bays in the road. The Company is small, which ensures you and ourselves of the best possible personal service available. The proprietors have lived on the island for several years and speak ﬂuent Spanish in addition to their native tongue. They take an active interest in the every day running of the villa. In addition to the usual cleaning, laundry etc. , they can offer you a range of other services (at your own request and cost). About Menorca Menorca is a paradise for anyone interested in creative activity holidays. The island has a highly individual and distinct character of its own. Happily, Menorca escaped the race to cover Mediterranean Spain with concrete and high rise buildings. Much of its rural charm still remains – postage stamp-sized ﬁelds bounded by white stone walls; meadows burgeoning with wild ﬂowers – and people who really do enjoy welcoming visitors. Menorca’s coastline still retains many gloriously unspoilt beaches, coves and inlets. Menorca was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO and is home to some of Europe’s rarest wild ﬂowers. It is not uncommon to ﬁnd deserted beaches of ﬁne white sand. Inland, there are numerous deep gorges, or barrancs – a magnet for botanists, photographers and artists. There are some 120 beaches and coves so it us easy to ﬁnd somewhere to escape the crowds – not that Menorca ever gets too crowded. Son Bou Son Bou beach with it's glorious white sand is the longest and generally acknowledged to be the best beach on the island. It is 2km long and is approximately 0.700m from villa and just an easy walk of 8-10 mins or 2 mins by car. There are various water sports, beach bars, padeloes. The beach is of ﬁne white/golden sand and is generally considered the best on the island. The protected wetlands in front of the beach with it's multitude of wild birdlife are also overlooked by the villa. The ancient Talayotic Settlement of Torre d'en Galmes is only approximately 7 mins drive away and is of great interest to all with a penchant for pre historic interest. San Jaime All shopping and restaurants are within a few minutes easy walking distance within the town of San Jaime which is adjacent to the golden shores of Son Bou. The shops are varied and include a total of 3 supermarkets, 2 pharmacies (one of each is situated at bottom of our road). There is a variety of restaurants and bars some of which have Sky Sports T.V. A 16 lane bowling alley, maze, and nightly entertainment are also a short walk away. The Club San Jaime has a water chute and pool with restaurant. There is a "fun train" to explore around immediate area.
