     RAGWAGON CONCEPT
Ragwagon is a business I co-founded in the summer of 2010. We designed and screen printed
T-shirts. The ragwagon was a van driven around Chicago selling the shirts and giving away ice pops.
I was responsible for the design of all of the logos, identity work, receipts, pamphlets , tags,
photography, and the design of one of the shirts.
                                                     Ice-cream truck style signage

Buttmachine was designed using a combination of Screen printed shirt tag
Adobe Illustrator and SketchUp. It was hand screen
printed using professional plastisol inks.

Plastic Soap Dish

Modelmaking - Winter 2011 - Design and vacuumform a soap dish
               that prevented soap scum accumulation.

                         Solid Works

Woodworking elective - Spring 2011 -We were constrained from
building a table larger than 18 inches in any dimension. I utilized
geometric forms to create a non-traditional form.

Cork Camera Case

Spare time project - Spring 2011 - I wanted an attractive case to
protect my camera while it was around my neck or in my bag.
Milled out of solid cork with a vertical milling machine.

Self Directed Project- Spring 2011 - A classmate and I were
interested in exploring edible product, and had the idea of an
Mold being cast in Aluminum edible cupcake liner with the material of ice cream cones.
Instead of removing the liner, you eat the entire cupcake.

Reverse Pulley Scale
Sophomore Design Studio - Spring 2011 - We were
to design and build a device that would allow users to
measure goods in their kitchens. 1 LB
                                                                 2 LB
I became interested in the reverse pulley mechanism
for it’s seemingly magical properties. Utilizing this
mechanism, I built a balance scale that gives no
obvious clues as to how it works.

The white PVC ring has a shallow channel inscribed
on the inside face. The channel contains a lubricated
wire which is connected to each of the acrylic posts.
The channel and wire are hidden from view with white
 plastic sheeting.

3D design - Spring 2010 - We were to display the common pencil in a
non-traditional manner. I built a machine that produces pencils from
 polymer clay and graphite rods.

Extrude: polymer clay is forced thrugh a hexagonal opening onto a graphite rod

Stamp: a self-inking stamp imprints the pencil with brand name and lead number

Bake: a modified toaster bakes the pencil until fully cured

Finish: a eraser is cut from a block and attached to the pencil with alluminum tape

Syyn Labs Project- Summer 2011 - A wacky ping pong
table has special features that are contolled by the
players. It was develeoped as an interactive social game
for the speaker series Mindshare LA. The table tilts 200
when the players press a buttown. The net traverses the
table based on the score granting an advantge to the
losing player. The ball is served out of the center. There
are two distraction flashes the players may use to blind
one another. The remote is made of Walnut and brass.

 A haptic weather forecasting device
 Personal Project- Winter 2011-
The Cryoscope shows the user exactly what to expect
outside by haptically exhibiting exactly how cold or
warm it is to be outside. The user simply touches an
aluminum cube that has been heated or cooled to the
appropriate temperature. The unit fetches weather
data from the internet, and translates it to the cube
physically, pumping heat in or out of the cube.
