                     On the basis of 3-dimensional data measured by laser beams,
                     obstructions are detected in a pre-determined monitoring area and the
                     obstruction warning signal displays a stop signal to the train.

 passing trains.

We decided the type of countermeasures by a history of accidents

※Along with conversion to Class 1 crossings, consultations will also
 continue toward combining and/or eliminating certain existing
 crossings.

 and to encourage pedestrians and bicycle riders to stop before entry.

We expand the limiting time to 6:00-21:00 after discussion

The discussion for elimination the level crossing started in June
 2011
・It takes time to explain to local residents.
・Some improvements requested by residents were made.
In Jan 2012, we had to get the agreement of elimination.


  The Soujiji level crossing was closed on 1 Apr 2012
