I read through the document Citizen Centred Governance Principles - Making This has been actioned and the typos Sense of Them, at amended. http://www.nliah.com/governanceemanual/Uploads/Resources/1/15gGn1K7E.pdf and was surprised to find a number of typos that I'm sure you would like to Trust correct. I copied the text over to a Word document and highlighted them with Track Changes but not being able to find an e-mail address to contact you I can't send that to you. If you e-mail me, I can do that or I guess someone could just proofread the PDF version.
Only looked at this so far but the text on the Questions and Answers page is Request to technical team to ask them if they quite small. It's irritating to have to scroll horizontally for just a little bit at the end can deal with this. of each line.
This looks like it will be a useful site. I like the 'friendly' titles and the links to Thank you documents. This will be very reassuring for anyone new to the NHS in Wales WAGand be a useful support and memory jogger for the 'old hands'. I will monitor the progress and feedback as you go.
The website will be an extremely useful tool when fully completed but there are currently many gaps which need to be filled and to provide the guidance to the LHB Transition programmes in establishing the new LHBs. My other role is SE Wales Critical Care Network and I note that you have a section for National Service Framework but you should also consider inclusion of other WAG policy 48aad55c-0b34-4aca-8711-4becdea0ebff.doc 1
There will be some general information on the National Service Frameworks but the site will not go into detail on all subjects; its intention to signpost individuals to specific information. The site will not be repeating everything on the
requirements for Quality, Safety and effectiveness of service provision, including HOWIS signposting website. the Quality Requirements for Adult Critical Care which were published in 2006 under WHC 2006 009 and the 2nd strategic framework published under Ministerial letter EH/ML/08/008 The e-manual is a very positive development and will represent a significant step Thank you forward in good governance once it is properly up and running. I found it to be Trust professionally presented, user-friendly and intuitive to navigate, and all links appeared to function well. The proposed content will be very useful once all pages are fully populated. The website is looking good, and once it is fully populated will evidently contain a A sitemap is being added to the website to wealth of information! To make it slightly easier to navigate, I'd suggest having a provide users information on what the site WAG'site map' - since it's not immediately apparent how much information is available contains and to enable them to navigate the (or will soon be) under each 'Principle'. This will make it easier to find for users, site easier. but also hopefully help to ensure all your hard work and useful stuff gets read! We are following the guidance in the NHS Corporate Identity: Interim Guidelines that has been issued with regards to the use of the term „local‟. We are adopting the same approach as that stated –on websites the full term will apply. What are the circumstances under which a Given that 'local' has been dropped, the website will need to reflect this. Having Local Health Board may drop the use of LHB “local” from its name? had a scout around, it is looking very good, well done all. It is acceptable for a Local Health Board to drop “local” from its name for day-today operational purposes, provided adequate steps are taken to prevent any person being misled regarding the identity of the Local Health Board. This means that it is necessary to disclose the full statutory name of the Local 48aad55c-0b34-4aca-8711-4becdea0ebff.doc 2
Health Board on all correspondence. In addition, the full statutory name should be displayed at all premises belonging to the Local Health Board, and on websites which have been commissioned and/ or maintained by the Local Health Board. (Reference: NHS Corporate Identity: Interim Guidelines 2009) Thank you for giving me the opportunity to review and comment on this evolving The site will not be written in „lay‟ terms as it is web site. My first impressions are generally positive and I recognise the work not aimed primarily at the public. The Home undertaken to date to develop the site. I feel the site will be of immense use to page will be amended to say “the NHS Wales Board (and Sub-Board) level for informing the development of Governance in the Governance e-Manual is aimed at everyone Trust new NHS Wales. I am not sure at this early stage how useful the site would be to working for the NHS, although it is accessible 'lay' members of the public - but this element of the site may evolve further. I will to everyone in the spirit of openness and over the coming weeks continue to review, monitor and provide feedback on the transparency”. We will also produce a leaflet site's development. „Guide to Governance for the General Public‟.
