Alla Guekht opened the meeting and welcomed all attendees; Peter Wolf did the same on behalf of the ILAE.

Report of the Commission on European Affairs
Michel Baulac reported on the activities of the ILAE Commission on European Affairs. The full powerpoint presentation was distributed to all delegates electronically after the meeting.
Forthcoming European Congresses on Epileptology
Meir Bialer promoted the 8th European Congress on Epileptology, which will take place on September 21-25, 2008 in Berlin. Thanos Covanis promoted the 9th European Congress on Epileptology, which will take place on June 27th - July 1st 2010 in Rhodes, Greece.
Peter Wolf reported on the recent developments and initiatives. The full report was distributed at the meeting. Afterwards Peter Wolf announced his resignation as Chair of EUREPA. He held the position since the set up of EUREPA 10 years ago in 1996. He stated that he was given the opportunity to help developing different parts of Europe and that it has been a pleasure for him to help out during all these years. He pointed out that EUREPA is still a young academy and therefore still needs care, attention and goodwill to develop it further. Peter Wolf informed everybody that his successor will be announced at EUREPA’s General Assembly on 11 July in Singapore. On behalf of the European Advisory Council, All Guekht thanked Peter for his contribution and dedication to EUREPA in the past years and handed him a bouquet of flowers.
European political action in favour of Epilepsy Research

Torbjörn Tomson reported on MORTEMUS: Mortality in Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Study. The powerpoint presentation is distributed to all participants. Adjournment Alla Guekht thanked everybody for their attendance and adjourned the meeting.
