Industry Association (SIIA) CODiE software awards.

educational market, has reached the final five in the Software and Information Industry Association
(SIIA) CODiE software awards in the very competitive Best Elementary Education Instructional
Solution: Other Content Areas Software for Children category with its internationally acclaimed
Music Toolkit product.

2Simple has produced a unique and innovative music software suite to aimed at non-specialists
wanting to develop musical concepts with elementary students. This product was the outright winner
of the British Educational Suppliers Association (BESA) Technology Resource of the Year award in
2004. It has also received a rave review in the International Society for Technology in Education
(ISTE) Learning and Leading with Technology Journal (September 2004 Vol.32 No1).

2Simple Music Toolkit is a suite of six programs that introduce the concepts of Rhythm, Pitch,
Melody, Tempo, Harmony and Composition in a fully interactive and creative way. Students can
work independently to explore music and sound and instruments and even perform their own
compositions!

The Music Toolkit has been designed for non-specialists to teach core musical concepts. On screen
support videos, a tutorial guide for both teachers and learners, are included on the installation CD.
These demonstrate learning objectives and techniques linked to the ISTE Standards for Technology
and the National Association for Music Education (MENC) National Music Education Standards.

The simplicity of use of the software makes it ideal for independent student use. The easy-to-use
teacher control-panel allows the teacher to take control of the usual problems that young students’
present such as multiple print requests, with the ability to hide the printer button and control program
functions according to need and age.

This 6-program suite is very competitively priced at $49.95 for a single copy, and $393 for a 20-unit
lab pack. The software is available in PC (98, 2000 & XP) format.
