Currently, rentals are processed manually. Incomplete records result in some Media World
(MW) media being lost and rental fees and late fees not being collected. There is a need to
automate the MW’s rental process, eliminate the need for customers to return their rental receipt,
and improve inventory management by reducing the number of lost rental media.
The main focus of this project is to reduce the time it takes to process a rental order for MW
customers. The project should also expedite data entry for customer, employee, and rental media
information, as well as provide easy retrieval of information about customers and rental media.
Enter customer information.
Retrieve information for an existing customer, including authorized users of that account.
Enter employee information.
Process a rental order for one or more media.
Print a receipt of the rental order.
Enter movie and rental media information when new media are received.
Retrieve rental media information.
Retrieve summary information about each customer’s rental activity.
Basic reports of customers, orders, and rental media.
