                                       Request for Quotations

International Finance Corporation – Bangladesh Investment Climate Fund (BICF) of the
World Bank Group, invites quotations for the procurement of Various Equipment and
Computer Accessories for the Board of Investment. The aforementioned items are to be
delivered to office of DPSFP and its subordinate offices, Dhaka. List of Items for which
quotations are invited are as follows:

The information furnished, must be carefully examined before submission of quotation and
the process to be followed given below:
   1. Bidder may give quotations for all components or for specific component.
      However quotations for each component should be in different quotation form
      attached below.
   2. Quotation must include specific item details including brand name and country of
      origin.
   3. Documentation relating to company background, list of similar products supplied in
      the past and client reference should be submitted.
   4. The Bidder shall submit necessary documents / brochures (with images of available
      models and their respective prices clearly stated) in its support. The products must be
      brand new and from fresh stocks.
   5. At any time prior to the deadline for submission of Quotation, the Purchaser (BICF)
      may modify the Quotation documents by amendment.
   6. The Bidder shall not assign this contract or sub-contract any portion of this contract
      without the Purchaser’s prior written consent.
   7. The Quotation prepared by the Bidder, as well as correspondence and documents
      relating to the Quotation exchanged by the Bidder and the Purchaser shall be in
      English.
   8. The Quotation prepared by the Bidder, shall comprise Quotation Form, the Price
      Schedule and Schedule of Requirements. The attached formats are to be followed for
      the preparation and submission of the Quotation. The quotation should clearly
      indicate warranty, installation, support and maintenance, response time to
      maintenance call and delivery time from the date of signing the Purchaser Order. The
      firm should quote trouble shooting and maintenance charge for 24 months
      excluding the general warranty and maintenance period offered by the firm. The
      maintenance fee will be settled at the end of the contract period.
   9. The Bidder shall indicate on the Price Schedule the unit price and total quoted price
      for all the items it proposes to supply under the Purchase Order. In case of any
      discrepancy between the unit price and the total price, the unit price will prevail.
      Please ensure that the quotation clearly states the installation costs and material cost
      (if any). The TOTAL quoted price must be inclusive of all taxes / VAT and
      installation, testing and delivery charges.
   10. Only one quotation must be submitted by each bidder (i.e. alternate quotations must
       not be submitted).
   11. Any warranty, guarantee and maintenance must be specifically mentioned.
   12. Time required for delivery and installation must be specifically mentioned.

   13. Prices shall be quoted in Bangladeshi Taka, and shall be fixed during the Bidder’s
       performance of the Purchase Order and not subject to variation on any account. The
       Bidder will be liable for paying any taxes, duties and any other impositions that may
       be imposed under the applicable laws of Bangladesh or their country of residence.
       The Purchaser will not be liable to pay any such taxes and/or duties. Currency for
       submitting quotation (inclusive of taxes and VAT) is Bangladeshi Taka (BDT).
   14. Quotations shall remain valid for forty five (45) days after the date of Quotation
       opening. A Quotation valid for a shorter period shall be rejected by the Purchaser as
       non-responsive. In exceptional circumstances, the Purchaser may request for
       extension of the period of validity.
   15. The Quotations prepared, in original, must be received by the Purchaser no later than
       5:00 PM, 7 October 2009 at the following address:

       The outside envelope of the Quotation must clearly state “Subject: RFQ for
       Equipment and Computer Accessories for the Board of Investment” with
       attention to Mr. Amit Muntasir Malek.
   16. Any Quotation received after the deadline for submission of Quotations will be
       rejected and returned unopened to the Bidder. The Bidder may withdraw its quotation
       after the Quotation’s submission. No Quotation shall be modified after its
       submission.
   17. Notification of Award: Prior to the expiration of the period of bid / quotation validity,
       BICF will notify the successful bidder in writing by letter or email, that its bid has
       been accepted. The notifications of award will constitute the formation of the
       contract. After the successful bidder has been selected, BICF will promptly notify each
       unsuccessful bidder.
   13. BICF will award the contract to the lowest, most responsive and responsible bidder.
   14. The Purchaser (BICF) reserves the right to accept or reject any Quotation, and to
       annul the quotation process and reject all quotations at any time prior to purchase
       award. The Purchaser thereby shall not incur any liability to the affected Bidder or
       Bidders or any obligation to inform the affected Bidder or Bidders of the grounds for
       its action.
   15. If the offer is accepted, the Bidder shall be obliged to accept the Purchase Order
       received from the Purchaser and deliver the items and perform the services as per
       Purchase Orders.

We under take, if our Quotation is accept, to deliver the Goods in accordance with the
