Description:- Chandigarh: The Akali Dal government is facing flak after a traffic policeman was
allegedly beaten up by the nephew of an Akali leader. The incident, which comes close on the
heels of the murder of a policeman in Amritsar at the hands of an Akali leader, who has been
expelled now.




Police have booked Inderpal Singh, who is the nephew of Akali leader Paramjit Singh Laddi
under Section 186 for obstructing a public servant from discharging his duties, Sec 332 for
voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from his duty and Sec 353 for assault or
criminal force against a public servant. His four accomplices are on the run.
