Learn how to build a Discoverer enduser layer using an ODBC link to an Oracle Lite database. Walk through the steps involved by importing data definitions, defining joins and creating lists of values. Complete your EUL by adding complex folders and hierarchies, finally granting access to your users. Users will learn how to significantly reduce the number of bank accounts required to fund accounts payable in a multi-company environment reduce the volume of data being entered, and automate the settlement of the liabilities within that environment -- all while using standard Oracle Accounts Payable and inter-company functionality with very little customization. The successful OM and e-commerce Gateway implementation is filled with many challenges, but few are true technology issues. The Province of British Columbia has recently completed a three year phased implementation of Oracle Financials, which is made up of 37 organizations in a single set of books environment There are currently over 3000 users accessing a standard corporate configuration for GL, Payables, Purchasing, Assets, Accounts Receivables and Projects. During the past three years many lessons have been learned, and there is still much to do. Multiple Assignments are a quandary for Oracle HRMS Users. Human Resources must track employees with multiple jobs or positions. Payroll must pay these employees with one paycheck that is correctly taxed. Oracles architecture prevents this. This paper presents a real life solution that allows both departments to meet their requirements. Expense reporting at RCN has been streamlined with the seamless integration of Oracle iExpense with imaging and workflow technology. This presentation will review how imaging and workflow technology facilitates the most efficient expense reporting processes by allowing for the on-line submission and approval of receipt backup in a selfservice fashion. New York City Housing Development Corporation (NYCHDC) recently went live with Oracle Financials, including a custom Oracle module – Mortgage Billing System. NYCHDC is using document management and workflow technology as a key enabler of their core business.
