Dear Applicant,

Congratulations on taking a step towards making a positive impact on our campus and
enhancing your leadership abilities.

 ASB Prerequisites:

       2.5 GPA or higher
       Minimum of one full term in high school ASB
       No history of discipline policy violations.

 Coming up

    CCA ASB plans to visit Carmel Valley, Earl Warren, & Diegueño middle schools to
     conduct interviews.
    Interview schedule will be announced at your school. Packets will be available as of
     May 8th in your schools front office or with the ASB director of your school.
    If you attend a different school now and are interested in ASB please email the ASB
     director Cami Hayes at cami.hayes@sduhsd.net to schedule an interview.

                                     ASB Responsibilities

Your enrollment in this class means that you are willing to devote time and energy to student
activities on and off campus. More than giving of your time and talents, you have the opportunity
to learn skills which will allow you to become a more effective leader, planner, and organizer. You
will learn how to set goals and to effectively take steps in achieving those goals. This organization
teaches successful strategies in how to communicate with others as well as planning meaningful
and organized events and activities. You will get out of this class what you put into it. A maximum
of effort and participation will get you a maximum of satisfaction and achievement.

ASB - LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES

      Participate in 80-100% of all CCA ASB activities
      Wear school colors or dress up for spirit days when appropriate (Most Fridays are school
       colors day)
      Sign out when leaving the room
      Be respectful of other classes on campus by being quiet when working on campus
      Active participation in CCA student council meetings
      Organize event planning, following steps in paperwork
      Attend any event you plan form start to finish
      Sell tickets, food, clothing and other items, complete accounting for those items
      Seek to understand all processes and procedures
      Learn how to set up, run and take down the music system
      Maintain a 2.5 GPA and a clean discipline record
