     a- bles,    saying: “The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who

   gave a wedding banquet for his son.     He sent his slaves to call those who had

   been invited to the wed-ding ban-quet, but they would not come.         A-gain

    he sent oth- er slaves,    saying, ‘Tell those who have been invited: Look, I

  have prepared my dinner, my oxen and my fat calves have been slaughtered, and

  bus- ’ness, while the rest seized his slaves, mistreated them, and killed them.

 The king was en-raged.     He sent his troops, de-stróyed thóse mur-der- ers,

  and burned their cit-     y.    Then he said to his slaves, ‘The wed-ding is

    rea- dy,    but those invited were nót wór- thy.         Gó thére- fore in- to the

  main streets, and invite everyone you find to the wedding ban- quet.’ Thóse

  came in to see the guests,

  he noticed a man there who was not wearing a wed-ding robe, and he said to

  him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here with-out a wed-ding robe?’ And he

 was speech-less. Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot,


V6vvvvvcrvyvtvtvYv,v6vvvvvvvvvzz z z z
 and throw him into the out- er dark- ness,   where there will be weeping and

 gnashing of teeth.’   For many are called,   but few are cho-    en.”
