The above named cat/kitten is sold to: ____________________________
(Hereafter referred to as Purchaser) by Marjorie Ruh (hereafter
referred to as Breeder) for the above listed purchase price with the
following conditions and restrictions.
1. To keep this cat/kitten as long as this animal lives unless unforeseen
circumstances prevent such. In such circumstances, the Breeder
reserves the option for the return of this cat/kitten to the Breeder. The
Breeder will select an appropriate home for the cat/kitten in the event of
the return of the cat/kitten to the Breeder. If the Breeder re-sells the
cat/kitten, the purchase price, less Breeder's expenses will be refunded
to the Purchaser.
2. That under no circumstances will this cat/kitten be given or sold to a
pet store or animal shelter, nor will it be abandoned to fend for itself.
3. That this cat/kitten will not be confined to a cage.
4. That this cat/kitten will not be left alone for more than 24 hours
unless arrangements are made with a responsible party to provide fresh
food and water daily and fresh litter as needed.
5. That this cat/kitten will be groomed at least twice per month or as
needed to prevent matting and tangles from forming in his/her coat.
6. That this cat/kitten will be watched for signs of illness/disease. A
veterinarian will be consulted for signs of illness/disease as needed at the
7. That this cat/kitten will be immunized for Rhinotracheitis, Calici
virus and Feline Enteritis at least annually.
8. That under no circumstance will this cat/kitten be de-clawed. (CFA
and MCBFA policies do not permit de-clawing and deem it to be

not opposed to the cat/kitten going outdoors for short/supervised
periods of time, the Purchaser agrees that this cat/kitten will live
predominately indoors and will not be left outside for extended periods
of time unsupervised.
10. That this cat/kitten will be neutered/spayed no later than ________.
Purchaser understands that the Breeder will retain registration papers
until written verification that the neuter/spay procedure has been
performed by a qualified veterinarian is received by Breeder. This
verification may be in the form of a letter written by the veterinarian or
a receipt from a veterinarian. The receipt must specifically identify the
cat/kitten and the procedure performed. Purchaser agrees that if the
Breeder must send a reminder for submission of verification of
neuter/spay, the Purchaser has 30 days from the date of the reminder to
provide verification of neuter/spay to the Breeder or forfeit all rights to
both pedigree and registration, or the Breeder may opt to take
possession of the cat/kitten, at the Breeder's discretion.
11. That the Purchaser will advise the Breeder at least twice annually
during the first two (2) years and annually thereafter of the
cat's/kitten's development and general condition. Purchaser also agrees
to provide photographs of the cat/kitten, upon reasonable request, from

quality of cat food) and fresh water daily for this cat/kitten. Purchaser
agrees to provide a clean, pleasant living environment for this cat/kitten.
Purchaser agrees to provide adequate litter box access for all cats in the
home and agrees to maintain the litter boxes daily or as needed.
13. That if the Purchaser be found to be negligent in any of the above
conditions, he/she will surrender this cat/kitten back to the Breeder
without compensation and will bear any/all legal costs should such
become necessary. Purchaser agrees that this cat/kitten will not be

Purchaser is responsible for any/all shipping costs related to this
transaction, including, but not limited to, airfare with an approved
For this guarantee to be valid, this cat/kitten must be examined by a
certified veterinarian within 72 hours of delivery (excluding Sunday &
holidays). The cost of this examination will be at the Purchaser's
expense. Purchaser must submit a copy of the results of the examination
to the Breeder for the guarantee to be considered valid.
This cat/kitten is guaranteed healthy at the time of sale unless otherwise
noted in the health record or by special arrangement between Breeder
and Purchaser. Breeder guarantees that this cat/kitten is free of the
following: viral and bacterial disease/infection, fungal infection, internal
parasites and/or congenital condition. This guarantee extends for 7 days
commencing at the time of delivery.
If it is determined during the first 72 hours of possession of the
cat/kitten that it has a viral/bacterial disease/infection, a fungal
infection, internal parasites, and/or congenital condition, the Breeder
will be notified as soon as possible (within 24 hours if possible).
Purchaser agrees to notify the Breeder before major treatment
procedures are performed (within the first 7 days of possession) on the
cat/kitten, excepting in the case of an emergency situation.
If this cat/kitten is deemed to be un-healthy and/or have a disease within
the first 72 hours of possession by the Purchaser, the Purchaser will
have the option of replacing the cat/kitten with an animal of equal
quality (if the Breeder is able to replace same) or may choose to take a
full refund of the purchase price (with verification of health condition of
the cat/kitten by a certified veterinarian). The Breeder agrees to pay the
cost of the veterinary examination only if the cat/kitten is returned to
the Breeder. Any additional veterinary, boarding, procedural costs
incurred following the possession of the cat/kitten will be at the

If the cat/kitten is sold as a show/breeder cat and should be proven to be
sterile or have a genetic/congenital defect that prevents the cat from
being shown/bred within the first year of possession, the Breeder should
be notified as soon as possible (within 72 hours if possible). The
Purchaser will have the option of replacing the cat/kitten with an
animal of equal quality (if the Breeder is able to replace same) or may
choose to take a full refund of the purchase price (with verification of
health condition of the cat/kitten). The Breeder agrees to pay the cost of
the veterinary examination only if the cat/kitten is returned to the
Breeder. Any additional veterinary, boarding, procedural costs
incurred following the possession of the cat/kitten will be at the
Purchaser's expense. If the Purchaser elects to maintain possession of
the sterile or congenitally diseased cat/kitten, Purchaser agrees to have
the animal neutered/spayed to prevent the transmission of the condition.
Purchaser agrees to provide Breeder with verification of the neuter/spay
procedure within 1 month of the identification of the condition.
Purchaser agrees to pay neuter/ spay cost in this case.
