Re: “Frontera” label Cantaloupe Recall
You have been kept informed on the recall of cantaloupes via the AG Produce department;
however, we are sending out this recall notification to insure that all store management have
been notified and are aware of this concern. Associated Grocers received two deliveries of
“Frontera” label cantaloupes, packed by Jenson Farms of Colorado, on August 15th and August
22nd. All were shipped to retail by August 30th.
While it is not anticipated that you still have such stock in your stores, please check!! If you do
still have any “Frontera” label Colorado grown cantaloupes, they should be pulled and the
produce buying office notified ASAP! Also note that you may receive calls from either the FDA
or the USDA checking/auditing to see if any of the cantaloupes in question are still in your store.
NOTE: All cantaloupe received and shipped since August 30th from AG has been
CALIFORNIA grown and has not been implicated in the ongoing Colorado grown Listeria
