					                    1st Term Christmas Activity

                  “Christmas Card Competition”




Participants: every ESO class – bilingual or non-bilingual. Those groups, in
which French is not attended, will only do the activity in English.

Subjects involved

    Spanish Language: the students will write a Christmas phrase or
     saying in Spanish and their corresponding teachers will correct it.
    English and French: the aforementioned text will be translated into
     both languages – always corrected by their corresponding teachers.
    Technology: The format and presentation can be done by hand or
     digitally.
    Plastics: The artistic part of the cards.

Card-making rules

    Write your name, legibly, first surname, course level and class
     where it can be clearly seen.
    The texts will be written according to the level:
        o 1st and 2nd: 2 to 4 lines (simple nouns and phrases)
        o 3rd and 4th: 6 to 8 lines (more complete phrases)

P.S. This activity is compulsory for all students and it will be evaluated as
such.

Judges

The members of the jury will consist of three of our school teachers:
Chema, Mª Jesus and Lourdes, and two students from 4th Year: Raquel
Poyatos and Fco. Olea.
Timing

The students will give the Christmas cards in to their respective English
and French teachers before the end of 10th December deadline.

In a first selection the members of the jury will select the best card from
each course on the 11th and 12th of December respectively. The selected
cards will be in the “Final” and will be displayed on the languages notice
board.

On the 17th December ONLY ONE WINNING CARD will be chosen and it will
be used as the Christmas greeting card of our Secondary School to be sent
to all our students’ families.

On the 18th of December a certificate and a prize will be given to the
winner of the Christmas card.
