							Introduction to Virtualization

Virtualization is a technology to run multiple operating systems on a single
computer.
The system allows installed operating systems from physical to one another without
stopping the operation and the operation of the software running in one physical
computer to another.
Virtualization system performs continuous Snap Shots of state systems, and thus
allows keeping the "status" of the current operating systems hosted, continuous
backup and recovery capabilities Boots fast.

Include many reasons to use technology as the main reasons are:

Maximum utilization of the hardware (optimal utilization of transit capabilities,
memory, disk volumes, etc.)
Costs (reducing the amount of physical computers and hardware savings, incidental
costs such as electricity, air conditioning, communications, storage space, IP
addresses, licenses (though even virtual systems Mohammad license is required) and
dedicated personnel costs, working hours, etc.)
Can quickly building test environments / development (separate systems can be built
with a variety of scenarios, operating systems and image loads relatively quickly and
without investing in physical hardware).
Can image scenarios before deploying organization (eg installing a new server or
distributing new software package).

Survival (do not stop the work during execution of hardware maintenance or
installing patches - parallel systems, disaster recovery / backup and even physical
transfer of any other physical server system elsewhere in a very short time).
Backups (all virtual operating system is actually a file, same goes for virtual disks.,
And as thus, you can save all the virtual machines on the RAID system once and
make a backup concentrated of any host, without the systems virtual will be aware).

There are several tools to realizing virtual systems. The most common are:
MICROSOFT VIRTUAL SERVER 2005 and its updated version, the server comes
free 2008 Hyper-V. Another common tool is the product of VMWARE.

There are tools for virtual systems and workstation environment, for example: virtual
pc 2007 and VMWARE VIRTUAL BOX of SUN, all are free software. Remember
that you have installed virtual operating systems requires proper licensing in
accordance with Manufacturer licensing.
