Mini Indy (C.I.Q.M.A) Board Meeting

Joe called the meeting called to order at 6:58PM.
Jeff Durrett reported that Carla Baber will not return his call. Jeff is going to attempt to contact Andy
Joe Miller President’s Report:
The board needs to elect a chairman of the board.
Scott Welch nominated Paul Lushin as Chairman of the Board. Motion was seconded by AJ Nigh.
This motion passed unanimously.
As a lifetime member, Larry Cleveland will be reimbursed for his 2012 payment. The club will pay his

It will be necessary to have a work day to get the scholarship cars ready. The event will be Saturday,
March 10, 2012 9:00 AM, at Collision Cure (exit 26 on I-69) in Anderson. Contact Joe Miller for more
information. The work that needs to be completed includes scale all of the cars, organize the spares and
remove the engine from the white car to put in one of the purchased cars.
Cathy will send a note to Stacey requesting this information be posted on the club website.
AJ agreed to create an inventory list of scholarship extras to sale. AJ will establish competitive prices.
This list will be sent to all members to purchase on a first come first serve basis.
Joe Miller reported that the Brickyard will be televised nationally on Fox Sports MidWest. Terry Walls
(FastTalk Racing) is hosting the event and it is costing him money. He is looking for title sponsors and
smaller sponsors, pre/post race interview spots and in car camera spots.
Joe asked for thoughts on activities for the Brickyard.
Saturday night – Kathy Nigh to follow up with James Spink on tickets to LORP
Wednesday will be practice day and that night will be a hog roast. Kathy wil follow up with James on
confirming details and ask that a RSVP, for the hog roast, be put on USAC invitation.
Joe recommended renaming the hall of fame to the Robbie Stanley Hall of Fame with his likeness etched
into the stone. If this could happen, it could be unveiled at this year’s event.
Tires – Scott makes the motion to allow A35 or A35NY1 until May 13, 2012 and then beginning May 14,
2012 only use the national spec tire A35NY1 for club races. Joe seconded the motion. The motion
passes 5 to 1.
Mini Indy will not designate an exclusive tire dealer. Only paid members or paid sponsors will be eligible
to promote themselves on the club website.
Joe Miller to send a membership e-mail regarding promotion help needed at an upcoming event. The 6
Lushin cars will be on display Saturday, March 10th Noon – 3PM at Sign O Rama, Carmel Drive. This is a
great opportunity to promote our club.
Membership update: 26 Primary members, 5 alternate handlers and 2 lifetime members.
Meeting minutes will be posted within 1 week, assuming majority of the board has approved them.
Cathy will ask Stacey to put on the website: 2012 parking passes available for $30 see Cathy Welch and
2012 camping passes are available $250 see Joe Miller.
Joe Miller recommended we re-key the common (bathroom, general large gate) locks and ensure all
gates have locks. All other locks are to be re-keyed for board members.
Paul Lushin to work to contact a lock smith for aforementioned locks.
Paul Lushin explained that trying to provide a bridge for quarter midget racing and Boys Scouts of
America. This is our opportunity to promote the sport through another group. The proposal is to form a
committee from Mini Indy to work with the Boys Scouts Committee. We need ~3 members, with
scouting experience/background, to volunteer.
