The Holy Spirit Full of God and Loving It.

The Holy Spirit of Prophecy

“Full Of God And Loving It!”

The Holy Spirit Of Prophecy
I. II. III. IV.

Spiritual Fullness: Love Is Not Blind. Full Fruit: If You Love Me, Show Me. Full Service: When Love Goes To War. Full Stature: Love’s Dwelling Place.

The Holy Spirit of Prophecy
“I fell at his feet to worship him [the angel]. And he said unto me, See you do it not: I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: Worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Rev. 19: 10).

The Holy Spirit of Prophecy
“The prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit”
(2 Pet 1: 21)

Spiritual Fullness and Love

“In Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily and you are complete in Him” (Col 2: 9-10).

Spiritual Fullness and Love
I pray that God “Would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man… And to know the love of Christ, that you might be filled with all the fullness of God” (Eph 3: 14, 16, 19).

Ellen White:

“The lapse of time has wrought no change in Christ's parting promise to send the Holy Spirit as His representative.”
(Acts of Apostles, 50).

Ellen White:
“If the fulfillment of the promise is not seen as it might be, it is because the promise is not appreciated as it should be. If all were willing, all would be filled with the Spirit. (Acts of Apostles, 50).

Ellen White:
“Little heed is given to the Bible, and the Lord has given a lesser light to lead men and women to the greater light.”
The Review and Herald, Jan. 20, 1903. (Selected Messages, 3: 30).

The Spirit of Love

“The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” (Rom 5: 5).

The Spirit of Judgment

“When the Spirit of truth is come He will reprove [convict] the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment” (Jn 16: 8).

The Spirit of Loving Judgment
“Thus says the Lord of hosts:
Execute true judgment, and show mercy” (Zech 7: 9). “Love may abound…in all

judgment” (Phil 1: 9).

The Spirit of Loving Judgment

“Justice and love are the ruling attributes of his [God’s] character…He has ever tempered judgment with mercy” (Sings of Times, Mar 3, 1881).

The Spirit of Loving Judgment

“It is the mingling of judgment and mercy that

makes salvation full and
complete” (Letter 1f, 1890).

The Spirit of Loving Judgment

God “views things…from the standpoint of mercy,

pity, and infinite love”
(Testimonies, 3: 514-515).

Aspects of Loving Judgment
1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7.

Eternal Christ Centered Not Rushed Pre-Advent 1000 yr. Judgment Your Day in Court Executive Judgment

1. Eternal Judgment (Heb 6: 2)
“He can have mercy upon you: for the Lord is a God of judgment” (Is 30: 18).

1. Eternal Judgment (Heb 6: 2)
 God’s
 God

Judgment is Eternal. judgment is based on His

has always been judge.

 God’s

eternal perspective.

1. Eternal Judgment (Heb 6: 2)
 God’s
 God’s

Judgment is Final.
judgment does not pre-

determine whether we are saved
or lost.

2. Christ-Centred Judgment
Jesus said: “Now is the judgment of this world…And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. This he said, signifying what death he should die” (Jn 12: 31-33)

2. Christ-Centred Judgment

“Greater love has no man than

this, that a man lay down his
life for his friends”
(Jn 15: 3).

2. Christ-Centred Judgment

Death on the Cross was “the act of Christ which removed the mortgage Satan held upon the souls of men”
(Spirit of Prophecy, 3: 80-81).

3. No Rush To Judgment
The Holy Spirit of Prophecy convicts us that God, in love, desires “that all should come to repentance”(2 Pet 3: 9)

3. No Rush To Judgment


God does not rush to judgment. He pronounces final



judgment after physical
death or after spiritual death has become

irreversible.

3. No Rush To Judgment
“It is appointed to men to die
once and after death to face the judgment” (Heb 9: 27)

4. Pre-Advent Judgment
The Holy Spirit of Prophecy convicts us that God has an appointed day to judge the world by Jesus (Acts 17:

31) who in love identified with our human situation (Heb 4: 15)

4. Pre-Advent Judgment
Jesus says: “Behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”
(Rev 22: 11-12)

4. Pre-Advent Judgment
“When the work of the investigative judgment closes, the destiny of all will have been decided…. Probation is ended a short time before the appearing of the Lord.”
(Great Controversy, 490)

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)
The Holy Spirit of

Prophecy convicts us
that after the Second Advent, judgment is

given to the saints for “a
thousand years” (Rev 20: 4)

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)
“Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? If the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?”(1Cor 6: 2)

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)
“Don’t you know that we shall judge angels? How much

more things that pertain to this life?”(1Cor 6: 3)

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)

How will you judge in that day?

We are preparing now for that judgment!

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)

Jesus chided those who neglect the “judgment and the love [or mercy] of God”
(Lk 11: 42; [Matt 23: 23]).

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)
Satan’s spirit leads those “of

narrow minds” who “go to great
extremes,” “are critical and

sharp.” “very tenacious” and
“exacting;” (Medical Ministry, 269)

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)
who “enforce rigorous duties,”

and “go to great lengths in
matters of minor importance,

while they neglect…judgment
and mercy and the love of God.”
(Medical Ministry, 269)

5. 1000 yr. Judgment (Rev 20:4)
The “counterfeit justice that Satan advocates, God abhors… Satan’s censuring must not be imitated by… partaker[s] of the mercy and love of God. Let no[one] of his children climb upon the judgment seat to accuse or condemn” Review and Herald, Sept. 22, 1896

6. Your Day In Court

The Holy Spirit of Prophecy convicts us that a God of love

allows us to speak in our
defense.

6. Your Day In Court

“We shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ… Every one of us shall give account of himself to God” (Rom 14: 10-12).

6. Your Day In Court
“Everyone… must give to God an account of himself, not of others. Seeing faults in other[s]…. and

condemning their course will not excuse or offset one error of ours.”
(Testimonies, 3: 523)

7. Executive Judgment

“The dead were judged out of those

things which were written in the books, according to their works…Whoever was not found in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire [which is the second
death].” (Rev 20: 15, [14]).

7. Executive Judgment
“For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow

to me, and every tongue shall
confess to God” (Rom 14: 11).

7. Executive Judgment
“Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four

quarters of the earth…, to gather them together to battle.” (Rev 20:
7-9).

7. Executive Judgment
“And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved

city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them”
(Rev 20: 7-9).

7. Executive Judgment
“He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer

punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy…” (Heb 18:
28-29).

7. Executive Judgment
“…who hath trodden under foot the

Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has despised the Spirit of grace?” (Heb 18: 28-29).

7. Executive Judgment
“Rebellion against God has unfitted them

[the wicked] for heaven. Its purity, holiness, and peace would be torture to them; the glory of God would be a consuming fire. They would long to flee from that . . . . holy place.”
(Great Controversy, 542-543

7. Executive Judgment
“They would welcome destruction,

that they might be hidden from the face of Him who died to redeem them. The destiny of the wicked is fixed by their own choice.”
(Great Controversy, 542-543).

7. Executive Judgment
“Their exclusion from heaven is
voluntary with themselves, and

just and merciful on the part of
God.” (Great Controversy, 542-543)
.

Conviction and Confession
The Holy Spirit of Prophecy convicts us of sin, righteousness And judgment
(Jn 16: 8).

Conviction and Confession
Let us cooperate: “If we confess
our sins, He is faithful and just to

forgive us our sins and to cleanse
us from all unrighteousness.”
(1 Jn 1: 9).

Conviction and Confession

Then we can say: “we know and believe the love that God has for us…so that we may have boldness in the day of judgment” (1 Jn 4: 17).

Conviction and Confession In those for whom “the spirit of love” becomes the leadership principle in the life, “trust and confidence in God and His dealing… would be complete.”
(Acts of Apostles, 551-552).

Conviction and Confession
Christians “could then come to Him [God] in full confidence of faith, knowing that they would receive from Him everything needful for their present and eternal good”
(Acts of Apostles, 551-552).
