To observe the implementation of the Council Directive 98/83/EC, Council Directive 80/777/EEC and Commission Directive 2003/40/EC in France. To visit one of the water production plant in France in order to see the application details related with the all stages of the water processing including the spring, production, packaging, labelling and storage. To gain information and experience related with the; - permission and licencing procedures of the member state, - inspection activities in all stages of production starting from the spring to consumption, - market surveillance and control activities, -techniques for the inspectors focusing on the application of the Regulations, -sampling protocol and its application, -data collection and recording, -network system, -relations between the producer, Ministry and internal market, -legal procedures applied to the production places,- strategies developed for the emergency incident cases.

The contract has already been prepared and has been presented to the EU Commission .

Please give details of the stage of preparation of the legislation (e.g. not yet sent to Parliament): The Regulation Concerning Water Intended for Human Consumption was prepared in the direction of the Council Directive 98/83/EC and published in the Turkish Official Gazette dated 17.02.2005 and numbered 25730. The Regulation was put into force at the date of publication.The Regulation Concerning Natural Mineral Waters was prepared in the direction of Council Directive 80/777/EEC and Commission Directive 2003/40/EC and published in the Turkish Official Gazette dated 01.12.2004 and numbered 25657. The Regulation was put into force at the date of publication . The English version of both of the Regulations are present. Please outline the timetable for the adoption of the legislation:
