  physical disability and their characteristics
 Be aware of the strengths and limitations of
  children and youth with physical disability
 Build up effective helping skills and
  supportive attitude
 Be capable of addressing their special needs
  in planning activities
      Common types of physical
            disabilities

Cerebral Palsy (腦性麻痺/痙攣)
Muscule disease e.g.Muscular Dystrophy

Spinal cord injury(脊柱受損)
Brain injury (腦受損)
Spina Bifida(脊柱裂)
Brittle Bone(脆骨症)
Congenital abnormalities
Other medical conditions e.g.burns,

Consider the suitability of the
environment where the activity
will take place
 Access facilities
 Space
 Toilet facilities
Consider the nature of activities
 Analyze the tasks – what physical skills are
  required? Can they manage?
 Tasks should not be too physically
  demanding
 Encourage physical participation
 Try to provide multi-sensory inputs in
  activities
Consider the amount of
manpower
Aware of safety issues
Have fun
