        Olympics
 May 23, 24, & 25, 2011
On Monday May 23, Tuesday May 24, and
Wednesday May 25 Clay County law enforcement
(Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Green Cove Springs
Police Department, and Orange Park Police
Department) will hold a “Tip-A-Cop” fundraiser
for Special Olympics at:

 Longhorn Steakhouse – Fleming
             Island

    Open 11 a..m. – 10 p.m.
The goal of the Tip-a-Cop program is to collect
donations for Special Olympics Clay County
through “tips.” Tip-A-Cop is a Law Enforcement
Torch Run® fundraising event in which law
enforcement officers assist with waiting tables at
a restaurant and collect “tip” donations for
Special Olympics.

Come for lunch or take a night off and come to
Longhorn Steakhouse on Fleming Island for a
great meal, and a chance to meet some of Clay
County’s finest law enforcement officers, Special
Olympics volunteers and athletes.

Robbery Firearm/Deadly Weapon:
On 05/18/11 three (3) male suspects robbed a victim at a business on
Leonard C. Taylor Parkway in Green Cove Springs. The victim was at the
rear of the store when suspect #1 pointed a hand gun at her and ordered
her to get on the ground. Suspect #2 carrying a pump shotgun ordered her
to get up and walk to the cash registers. While approaching the registers,
the victim noticed suspect #3 taking cartons of cigarettes. The suspects
told the victim to open the registers and face the wall. Once the suspects
obtained the money, they fled on foot from the scene..

Thefts:
On 05/18/11 a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence on
Cactus Cut Road (FOXMEADOW) in Middleburg.

On 05/18/11 a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence on Plum
Orchard Drive (CRANES LANDING & HAMMOCK GROVE) in Orange
Park.
On 05/18/11 a Florida license plate was stolen from a utility trailer parked in
front of a residence on Bundy Lake Road in Keystone Heights.

On 05/18/11 an I-POD and ear buds were stolen from a backpack while in
the possession of the victim at Ridgeview High School on Madison Avenue
in Orange Park.

On 05/18/11 two (2) water pumps, two (2) tanks and associated fittings
were stolen from a building under construction on Maranda Drive (LITTLE
PINE ISLAND) in Green Cove Springs.

On 05/19/11 two (2) Electric Pressure Sterilizers were stolen from the
business of Fantasy Tattoo and Piercing on Loch Rane Boulevard (LOCH
RANE) in Orange Park.. There were no signs of forced entry to the
business.


Burglary to Structures:
On 05/18/11 an attempted burglary was made to a residence on Caroline
Boulevard in Penney Farms. Pry marks were observed on the back door by
the handle and deadbolt but no entry was made to the premises.


Burglary to Autos:
On 05/18/11 a Mag. flashlight and a CD holder containing twelve (12) CD’s
were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a residence on
Windwood Lane (WADESBORO SPRINGS) in Orange Park.

On 05/18/11 a change cup, a CD book and a tool box were stolen from an
unlocked vehicle in the driveway of a residence on Inlet Lane (KINGS
COVE) in Orange Park.

On 05/18/11 an attempt to steal a depth finder from a boat was made at a residence on
Stonehaven Court West (THE MEADOWS) in Orange Park.

On 05/19/11 a wallet and a laptop computer were stolen from a vehicle in
the Orange Park Mall in front of the AMC Theater on Wells Road in Orange
Park. There were no signs of forced entry.
On 05/19/11 cash, a laptop computer, a Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office
Community Service badge, and a bag containing assorted clothing were
stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of the Orange Park Kennel Club on
Park Avenue in Orange Park. There were no signs of forced entry.


Criminal Mischief:
On 05/18/11 a door handle on the driver’s side of a vehicle was damaged,
and eggs were thrown on the driver’s side door at a residence on
Hearthstone Lane (HEARTHSTONE @ OAKLEAF PLANTATION) in
Orange Park.
