Want to get in those skinny jeans or that evening gown you wore to the prom,
but the weight around the tummy doesn’t let you do so? Well, losing weight
may sound like a challenge, but when done the right way, it can be shed easily
and smoothly. Given below are steps you could follow for that lean tummy
without having to go under the knife.


Cut down Junk Food: If you find yourself constantly eating junk food, its time
you give them up. You can either cut down the intake, or simply remove fast
foods and sweets from your diet. You should also avoid all forms of aerated
drinks, instead go for fresh juices. You could replace these fast foods with
fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grain cereals, lean meat, and oatmeal. You can
also have dairy products when you feel hungry in between meals. This will
help in boosting your metabolism, whilst slowing down the amount of insulin
your body releases. Also, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water, it aids in digestion.
Also, it works as a detoxifying agent and as an appetite suppressant.


Exercise Daily: A good exercise regime goes a long way when it comes to
losing weight. However, don’t make the common mistake of concentrating on
only one body part for weight loss. Exercising for the whole body helps in
burning the excess fat faster. If you are busy, you could take a brisk walk for
30-45 minutes. You could also take up cycling.


Additional tips: The timing and frequency of eating also can make a lot of
difference when you want to shed that extra fat. For example, you can opt for
3-4 small course meals instead of 2 large meals. This way, you burn more
calories and store less fat. Be active and avoid use of locomotives for short
distances. Take the stairs instead of the elevator. Avoid late night heavy foods,
and don’t miss out on breakfasts. Stay away from excessive consumption of
alcohol and smoking. In your free time take up yoga, meditation, sports
activities, etc. Don’t fill your stomach to the fullest; it is always a good practice
to leave some empty space in your stomach. Take smaller portions while
eating, you can always go for a second serving if you feel hungry.


Always remember you cannot reduce weight by only exercising or starving
yourself. Strike the right balance between exercises and diets. Eat reasonably
and exercise on a regular basis, and you will be fit as a fiddle!
