Welcome!
Thank you for downloading the spreadsheet. I hope you find it helpful and useful.

The first time you use the spreadsheet, you need to create your own budget categories in the
Budget Planning Section. Just type in top of the ones you don’t need, and insert rows as you
normaly do. Make sure to maintain the structure and calculations. Just copy the formulas to
the new inserted row. The same applies for the Account Balances section

The Monthly Household Budget Planner With Account Register Spreadsheet is designed to work
with the data of only one month. In other words, you can only work month by month. But it has
a purpose: You need to start fresh every month! Yes. At the beginning of the month you must
clear all the transactions already entered in the register and start from zero; that's it!
Make copies to save old data for future reference.

Now that you have a blank new sheet, begin by entering (or reviewing) the budget amounts.
This exercise will help you to focus your mind on what is important and what is not.

Once you finish with the budget, enter the first transactions in the register: These transactions
are the "initial Balance of the Accounts"; if for some extrange reason, the account is negative,
you may enter the amount in the "Debit" side, or just enter a negative number in the "Credit"
side. Do this for each account.

Next, change the month at the right-top of the sheet. As the month goes by, enter the transaction
details in the Regiter Section. Note that Accounts and Categories are reading what you entered
on the Account Balances and Budget Planning Sections.

What I like the best, is the bottom row of the Account Balances where it tells you one of two things:
"ADDITIONAL CASH NEEDED TO MEET GOALS:" or "EXCESS OF FUNDS FOR SAVINGS" if the total of
pending payment minus the CASH on hand is positive. It is warning you in case you have no enough
money to meet the goals for the month so you can prepare for your plan B.

Please, feel free to send me an email with any questions you have to support@exceltemplatesource.com
