							                                                                   Refugee Resettlement Program
                                                                   The Refugee Resettlement Program is in need of essential items to help refugee families coming to Iowa. A
                                                                   refugee is a person who is forced to flee their home and country for fear of persecution due to race, religion,
                                                                   nationality, ethnicity, political opinion or social group. Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Des Moines has
                                                                   recently begun resettling refugees independently after 15 years of successful collaboration with Lutheran
                                                                   Services in Iowa. Due to this recent shift in agency responsibilities, donations are urgently needed.
