 We developed a lesson that incorporated
 the use of technology with the study of
 the Native Americans of Butte County.
 One of our goals was for students, of all

                    Our Expectations

 We expected to become more proficient
 with technology in order to facilitate
 learning in the classroom. The chance to
 improve our own skills, while adhering to

 the rapid pace of delivering curriculum, was
 a unique opportunity both of us embraced.
 Through our increased knowledge, we could
 capitalize on the students’ excitement and
 enthusiasm for technology.

                        Our Realities

We realized our students were missing basic computer
 skills which became apparent during our introductory
                  activity assessment.

   We struggled with facilitating this lesson for forty
students, which included RSP students, below grade level
         readers and second language learners.

As teachers we were limited in our knowledge of correct
        use of appropriate computer programs.

  lab during computer lab time.
• Computer “glitches” that cause
  frustrations and raises anxiety during

              Concluding Statements

We are very pleased with the growth we made by
building a lesson which integrates technology,
standards, an assessment rubric and multiple
computer programs.




                                                                FINAL PRESENTATION
Our students reached higher levels of performance
when offered a clear understanding of our
expectations, the use of websites for research
and two teachers working collaboratively to support
all learners.
