Today, everyone is health conscious. Each one of us, wants a slim body and get admired by
others. But every person in this world is not blessed with a slim body. There are many people
in our society which are suffering from obesity. And I am not afraid of saying it that most of
us used to make fun of them. But it’s time to think, whether this gesture is well justified or
not ?

There are many causes, responsible for obesity. Genetic is one of the main cause in some
cases but not always. Some persons suffer from obesity due to their poor hygiene. Eating of
junk food, lack of movement of body, intake of oily and fat-enriched food are some of the
main causes of obesity.

Though obesity, itself is not much fatal but it leads to the birth of many severe problems.
Some serious effects of obesity are as follows :

        1) High blood pressure
        2) Heart diseases
        3) Diabetes

About 70 % people, suffering from obesity tend to suffer from Diabetes. Hence it becomes
more essential to control obesity. Some measures to control obesity are as follows :

        1) Intake of low oil and fat-enriched food
        2) Avoid junk food
        3) Try to eat fibre enriched vegetables and fruits, which checks cholesterol level in
           the blood
        4) Avoid sleeping during day time. Instead do some physical work
        5) Regular exercise is the most essential element to get rid of obesity
