It came down to 283 Likes and 64 Shares.

That was the difference between Cobbler and Gobbler...two Turkeys competing for the annual
Presidential Turkey Pardon.

A definite nail biter.

Two turkeys anxiously awaiting the life-or-death verdict,

And it was Cobbler who flew to victory by a narrow margin:

2513 Likes and 548 Shares

versus Gobbler’s close second scores of  2230 Likes and 484 Shares.

In the end, President Obama generously chose to pardon them both.

Cobbler and Gobbler Rejoice Over News of Their
Presidential Turkey Pardon
In a statement made during the Thanksgiving Eve Rose Garden Ceremony, President Obama
said:

They say that life is all about second chances, and this November, I could not agree more. If
Cobbler cannot fulfill his duties as the official White House turkey, Gobbler will be waiting in
the wings.

So what happens next for Cobbler and Gobbler?

At 4 months and a whopping 40 pounds, these lucky birds will squawk and gobble for years to
come on a livestock sanctuary in Mount Vernon...just outside of the nation’s capitol. The safe-
haven where all recipients of the Presidential Turkey Pardon reside.

From here, these two lucky birds will be swept up in a whirlwind of fame and fortune that will
ultimately lead them to Mount Vernon, where they will spend their twilight years in the historic
home of George Washington.

I think it’s fair to say that most turkeys don’t view Thanksgiving as all that great of a day.

But for Cobbler and Gobbler, it’s a day of thanks....
