The Role:

The primary objectives of this position are to assist in the production of food at Wales Millennium
Centre, as well as assisting in all aspects of Health and Safety and Food Hygiene. As Commis
Chef, you will be part of the kitchen brigade responsible for providing food for all hospitality at the
Centre. As well as this the team also produce’s the food for the Green Room, where the Centre’s
staff and performers can eat as well as the Urdd Gobaith Cymru youth centre which can
accommodate up to 150 people in their residential wing of the building.

Responsibilities:

    You will be responsible for food production as directed by the Sous Chef /Chef de Partie.
    The Commis Chef is a key position in the smooth running of the kitchen, and we would wish
     the candidate to seek to progress further in the kitchen brigade.
    To report punctually for duty with a clean and tidy appearance, dressed according to the
     staff handbook and relevant Centre policies,
    To assist with the receipt of deliveries, in accordance with company procedure.
    To produce all food as specified by the Sous Chef/Chef de Partie to the unit standards in
     the time specified.
    To assist in the production of menu planning and costing where requested by your line
     manager.
    To ensure all temperature checks and cleaning schedules are completed and followed in
     line with unit specifications.
    To work in a safe and efficient manner, for both yourself and the team.
    To ensure all health, safety and hygiene rules are regulations are followed at all times.
    Undertake any other duty deemed reasonable by the management; in order to meet the
     demands of the business.
