adjacent to the proposed route.

Site designation glossary:
SSSI = Site of Special Scientific Interest. Site of national importance for nature
conservation. Protected by national legislation
LWS = Local Wildlife Site. Site of County Importance for nature conservation.
Protected by national planning policy.
BNS = Biological Notification Site. Site of County Importance for nature
conservation. Protected by national planning policy.
AW = Ancient Woodland. Continuously wooded since at least 1600. Irreplaceable
habitat for nature conservation. Protected by national planning policy.
BAP = Biodiversity Action Plan habitats. Subject to international convention and
UK policy.
